Not sure this is exactly a LOL to others, but it is to me and I thought I’d post it in here vs starting a thread… Also, I want to state I have nothing against Matt and have traded pm’s and emails with him numerous times…
So was trolling vendorzine last night and noticed the below thread… I guess it’s now OK to not be a paying vendor and yet post for sale threads of parts you make and sell… Funny thing is when I did it with my paddles there was one vendor selling paddles and he even came on here and swore it wasn’t he who complained… Yet my threads got deleted, my pm’s intercepted and deleted, and I infractions were given. Today we have multiple vendors selling crank pulleys and yet Matt/KI gets away with it. Funny he created a serperate account to do this, kind of like Issam with his multiple screen names and the dude from Revo… I’ve pretty much quit selling paddles since there are so many others out there now but I do have a few sets left so maybe I should make a for sale thread on vendorzine… lol
Anyway, I guess I’m still a little bitter on how they handled me selling paddles… lol

I popped in to read a few threads and I stumbled upon this one. Just a few things that really stick out and I hope other intelligent people see.
-13.99@99mph… When and where did he run this? That means a lot to the argument that something crazy was wrong, especially considering the elevation he is at…along with a million other variables that a novice screws up at the track.
-10 degrees of timing pull isn’t crazy, I’ve looked at probably a hundred S4/RS4 logs of both tuned and stock vehicles. Timing pull can be dependent on many variables (heatsoak, gas, shit plugs…etc.). You also only really know what you see…think into that.
-Also, the log was done back in AUG 16 if the timestamp is correct…pull the weather and calculate the DA for Salt Lake that day/time. It should be about 80 degrees and 6334…not exactly optimum for a car that has heat problems stock, not to mention a blower with an upgraded pulley (not-recommended)
-He was complaining about boost not meeting 6.5psi…lulz. This is basically why you don’t modify cars at shit elevation 101. The Boost reading that he was seeing on a fixed pulley supercharger looks completely normal. I’m not sure what he expected, did he think he would run similar times to superchardged cars at sea level?
I could go on and on as to why his timing might look like shit, which I disagree with…what is the exhaust setup? He is still running shit 91 I assume, but now throwing in some ethanol and meth injection. All I see is a customer who had unrealistic expectations and wanted to run a setup that JHM didn’t think was safe (they should’ve never sold him the pulley IMHO). Then he went ahead and increased the boost along with added heat and on 91 oct that can obviously create some issues.
One of the issues was that when that customer contacted us with logs wanting a smaller pulley for more boost he wasn’t even running downpipes yet. Once he got downpipes on the car everything looked fine for his altitude.

That is another reason I question his setup, we know how a restrictive exhaust can not only destroy the engine but also restrict flow and cause massive power to be lost. Hell NA guys were losing a power due to stock exhaust. AZ is just funny…

It’s interesting that qdubz didn’t recommend the guy post here considering he knows this forum has a direct line to JHM and the man who wrote the tune…also home to some of the most knowledgeable B6/7 guys. Instead he made a post about how he was a hero for telling the guy to run better gas and add more meth to a setup that is basically a bandaid and a disaster waiting to happen.
