Lol! Good thing you don’t know circuittested otherwise he’d help make it a team effort

thats audia being tame, the stuff he says in the gcc is way worse
audia mixing it up in the B6/7 S4 forum? That’s interesting.
He’s heavy metal. He used to OBLITERATE people in the GCC section. He was sakimano’s mentor. Wonder why he’s sticking up for B6JoeS4 so much?
As for socals4avant, that comment to audia was offside. audia wanted an explanation for the member, rather than being addressed in the same sentence as cheating on your girlfriend or taxes. SoCal will likely find regrettable photos like this one start showing up on the internet now that he has crossed audia
hahahhahha, I have never seen this audia post before
They deleted his post and have him an infraction
And then…

AZ member 1961 - must be old!
Interesting capture from a thread on audizoo
First nycvr6 trash talking JHM. I guess he is still “looking forward to the season”…with his neverending and still never running car. What season is he referring to? Is there a senior tour on the drag racing circuit? Maybe he will finally have his car running when he turns 50.
Then meow intimates he signed up here to learn information for his new job at Borg Warner.
Oddball thing to say.

NYCVR6 showed his true colors over here, he is a tool!
It seems like Meow just finished his degree…considering how often he has mentioned he is a mechanical engineer. I’d actually go a step further and say that he may still be a student and all this…I’m going to work at BW talk is really just an internship to satisfy degree requirements. Maybe we should ask him what he has accomplished thus far in the engineering world since he wants his credentials to be so “known” he must have plans for a “super turbo” that wi blow the B5 worlds minds…
exactly Euro. I think you nailed it.
What has the 21 year old engineering wunderkind tuning wizard accomplished? He has taken his B5 S4 with:
AWE SMIC (good)
full exhaust (good)
fully updated fuelling (good)
OEM RS6 turbos (very good)
and turned it into a 12.6 @ 115 dud. Guess all that time on n.e.f.h.o.m.o.t.o. is paying off. That modlist should be enough to mop the floor with 90% of the supposed supercars we read about in magazines.
I don’t know man, I just don’t get some of these guys. They spend good money…buy good parts, then get a shit tune or attempt to backyard tune themselves. Then they run shit times and say it’s because they can’t drive or other issues. What is the point if you can’t drive your car that is suppose to be fast. I understand if you just love messing with cars, but I would get no satisfaction out of modding my car and not getting results on par with similar setups.
This is a completely different topic…but
Same goes for Zero Tolerance…he wants to have Jnaut run his car at the track…cool, but how can you go around showing a slip and talking about how fast your car is if you didn’t drive it. I would probably not ever let someone run my car at the strip for that single reason…if they ran faster in my car than I ever have I would blow it up trying to best that time…haha
^^^ I dont agree with that. Unless your looking at reaction time or going head to head, test and tune times are all about the car and not the driver.
No matter who drives it, you cant take away the fact that the car is well built / tuned. That being said its important to say “my car went 12.5” and not “i went 12.5”
head to head racing where driver reaction / skills matter… then yeah, different story.
I suppose if you want to look at it from a strictly engineering or performance point of view, then who drives doesn’t matter, and actually it should be the same person driving all the cars to remove the “human” aspect of deviation.
But I think the whole point of having a fast and well-tuned car is nullified if you don’t know how to drive it.
I don’t care who drives my car at the strip and if they do a better time than me, that’s perfectly fine. It tells me the car has the capability of going that fast. Heck, it’s even reassuring.
I once let sakimano drive my car down the strip and that day, he did better than I did. I was happy to see the car do that well. He has way more experience launching than I do so why not?
You need to be secure in yourself. Just cause someone beat your time in your own car doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. It just means your car can go that fast. Be happy I say.
Yeah I don’t mind the whole zero tolerance thing.
There is often time left on the table if you are not entirely experienced at the strip. The guys who let someone drive their car are always doing so for Good reason…they want to gather data on the car as a benchmark, and want the forums etc to have a clearer picture of what the car is capable of. I think that is great and very selfless. I do agree with euroswagr that it would drive me nuts till I could match them though if someone went faster in my car. Maybe we are kinda too competitive though lol.
I have a problem with the guys who run a whole second slower than they should if their mods are what they say and if their tune is supposedly good…but then they blame their driving (meow) or the tuner blames the customer’s driving (AMD and PES love to do this). That is just finding excuses. Good drivers can squeeze a couple of tenths out of the car maybe and likely 1 or less mph…not ten and ten.
Allowing someone with more experience at the dragstrip will definitely provide a better indication of overall performance but it also gives the owner a goal to work towards. Additional seat time is the only way to improve, knowing someone ran a better time in your very own car would likely increase the determination of the owner to improve their own abilities.
I agree that it’s about the performance of the car, but maybe we can all agree to disagree. Like Saki said, maybe our nature is too competitive.
I look at it like if a guy took his car down the track and ran a 12.5 and a buddy of his ran an 11.9, the owner going around talking about his 11s car is worthless because he himself has never taken the car into the 11s. It would almost be the same as if he had never taken the car to the track, but went around saying because of his mods or this or that or comparable cars, his car “should be” an 11s car.
Don’t throw stones at me…it’s just my opinion and like I said I could never have someone run a better time in a car that I put my money and time into. Would you let your buddy take your gf or wife for a ride in the bedroom? Neither would I, same goes for the strip and my car…haha
Bear let me take his car down the strip on two separate occasions. I think I was 0.02 slower the first time on pump, and 0.08 slower the second time when he did an 11.76…I’m sure he was happy to know he was faster (my only consolation being I did get a 0.01 faster 60’, totally meaningless though).
I’m generally with Euroswagr and Saki on this though, I’d be very pissed if someone went faster in my car and I’d probably beat the shit out of it until I was faster myself. My brother gave my car the fastest stock time, 13.4 I think, because he got lucky and DSG gave him clean shifts. It bugged the crap out of me. Even with the guys like Primetime running 11s, it bugged me that I never got an 11 in a similar car, so much that I made a deal with the devil (and some of you know how that cost me)…
Meh, I think you guys are indeed too competitive. We’re testing the cars here, not our individual driving prowess.
If someone beat my best time driving my car, I wouldn’t have any issues saying I have a x second car. If I were ever asked about it, I would gladly say someone else drove the car but the fact remains that the car ran that time. Who the fuck cares who drove it.
Now if you’re in a drag competition and you say you won the competition but someone else was driving the car, that’s totally different and I would call the guy a complete liar and douchebag. But if the guy said his car went this fast and I later found out someone else was driving, I wouldn’t hold it against him. I’d still congratulate him for having a car that went that fast.
yeah, we’re all too competitive. jspazz even cares about reaction times. Dude is possessed!
As for someone having a substitute driver running 11.xx in their car, I have no problem with that person who owns the car saying it’s an 11 second car. As long as they don’t say ‘I ran 11.XX in it’.
As I said the guys who let people drive their cars are generally the more well adjusted guys on the forums. They don’t let ego get in the way. It’s actually a good metric for someone who is not selfish or too wrapped up in this shit.
