will anyone step up to protect the integrity of the community or will everyone just hide behind non-existant ‘non-disclosure agreements’.

Generally an NDA is agreed upon for mutual beit, or when compensation is paid to the person signing. I can’t see REVO even having the ability to compensate any of these people for $25,000 motor failures, especially when REVO is 4000 miles away from the people whose motors did supposedly blow as a result of the revo tune. REVO was nearly worthless, and were purchased by another nearly worthless company, Stasis.

So this guy has a point. Lots of people want to claim revo failures, yet nobody steps up to share their experience. Just lots of silly whispering and PMs etc.

Saki, I think more folks worry about AOA or AOC than Revo… After the TTRS issue that they(Audi) supposedly read about on the forums I would be worried about them coming after me to prove a point not Revo given their rather deep pockets… Obviously, I didn’t blow a motor so I can’t speak for anyone but I’m not sure Thomas would believe it anyway, he is just looking to protect/promote his business…

Clocher, Ask Thomas the Train what he constitues as proof? pictures, logs, email string, work order from AOA, etc.?

Ya it’s frustrating. No one says a word. I remember running a few searches on the issue a few months back. All you get is the subtle hint of whose motor may have blown.

Maybe we should start a thread in the B8 section calling for information.

Prime - there’s no doubting Thomas’ trolling ways. But I think I’m done interacting with him on the forums. It’s too frustrating.

Understood and I don’t blame you really… Personally I could care less as I have no stake in the game so to say… A few were kind enough to share things with me and I am 100% confident in what I saw from various information streems to know it’s not made up…

Yeah, I was laughing at it too. I was going to post something and then just decided to sit back. Some people just dont listen.

…yet people keep buying REVO tunes. Why? No reason not to really. Just speculation and heresy. The logs scream to me that it’s not a tune I would want, with very aggressive parameters to produce results…but as jspazz’ logging thread shows with like 8 replies in 2 years, nobody gives a fuck about or understands logs or tuning parameters on the forums.

So, again, people keep buying REVO tunes.

Start 2 or 3 ‘REVO tune had unsafe parameters and my motor blew’ and people will get the hint. If a few guys whisper the old ‘trust me it’s dangerous, I know a guy who knows a guy’ well, again, people keep buying REVO tunes.

This hpappend with PES. A few of the informed guys warned of the dangers, and then a couple of people had major problems. Then they were either too embarrassed to post their experience, or just got out of the scene. People still bought PES superchargers. It was only when a couple of guys started threads like this one…
