Maybe some new B8 S4 records this weekend

you vs. Danny Le @ APR for Audi jockey of the year, 2014.

Lol

Great times freeride! And welcome to the site.

freeride, Welcome to AR! Great times way to represent… Here is a quick comparison to my 11.93 pass on pump… Very very similar runs… Looks like I get you on the big end which is where some of my additional mods probably help… Good stuff! Look forward to seeing more results from you!

Prime freeride delta
1.6994 1.753 60ft -0.0536
4.9770 4.972 330ft 0.0050

Jeff, Thompson is open Sat. and Sun. if you need somewhere to run… I know it’s a hike but my place is always available so don’t hesitate if you want to make the trek… Just got my new crop share as well…

Pete, I think the times and tunes are very close… No doubt the facelift car advantage goes to GIAC given the DSG tune… I also think the 17 inch wheels helped your dad’s car more than everyone realizes… I look forward to see what it does in good conditions with 19’s… Also, like Saki mentioned I don’t get negative DA’s and we all know these cars love good air… Not making excuses just keeping all things in perspective… Finally, I think the GIAC setup is a little more than $1,800(not that I care nor like this argument)… On AWE’s website the pulley and tune is $1,600 and DSG tune $700, + the intake is what $300, so it’s more like $2,600…

Ron,

I see Sunday is supposed to be <50 out, and especially cold in morning. Stay posted as I might make that hike, really itching to get out as the local tracks and weather have not cooperated, and I am running out of cold weather.

I also hate that the one lane always has the wrong trap speed lol! Ain’t nobody got time for that.

are you in Windsor or Michigan? Isn’t Milan closer? or Cayuga? or Ubly?

which track has the bad numbers…Thompson? Or Sparta?

How did you find your times Sparta vs. Thompson, similar/same? We were thinking of renting Sparta one day in the fall.

Saki, at what time are you heading to Cayuga this Saturday?
Are you planning to be there for 11 am start?

I am hoping to join you.

I may not go, but I believe Mistro will be going.

I PM’d you regarding last Sat. Guess you couldn’t make it?

Saturday doesn’t look good weather wise, Sunday looks better.

sunny, 9 degrees on Saturday I thought?

I thought that I saw rain in the forecast for Friday into Sat. They won’t open if it doesn’t get a chance to dry.

it dries in a couple of hours. Should be fine. Too far to guess anyway. Wind in the forecast too, so that helps dry it out.

I am literally on the border.

St. Thomas has been closed the Saturdays and Sunday I was available to go. Milan is rediculously busy and they closed the one Wednesday I could go.

Thompson in Ohio is the track with the one lane that gives false trap speeds. Always lower than the other lane by 2-4 mph consistently.

My best time is at St Thomas with a 700-800 DA

Which track is UBLY?

I am always down to get in on track rental.

I didn’t know whether I would make it or not till last minute, that’s why I didn’t reply.
Looks good for me this Saturday if anyone else will be going.
Mistro, anyone else who is planning to go, please post here.

I might have to make the extra trek to Cayuga if weather is 100%

How is track prep there?

Traffic?

No traffic. IT’s in the middle of nowhere 15 minutes north of Lake Erie.

Track prep? I have no idea. I have an AWD Audi. I have only driven there, so I have nothing to compare.

Milan is the best track prep I’ve ever seen. When we were there with a JHM stage 2 supercharged RS4 ready to run a 10 the axle broke on the first launch. When Jason got out of the car, his shoes near came off because the track was so sticky.

My biggest complaint about Cayuga is the fucking horrible conditions of ALL the pavement that isn’t the two 1/4 mile strips. The holes in the roads after you enter the entrance gates could hide a Miata.

They were spraying VHT on the starting line last weekend. Beyond that I don’t know what prep they do for open test/tune events.

haha their potholes are epic now. They really got bad over the winter. Don’t need the road course for handling fun. Just avoid potholes in the pit areas and you’ll be set.

Their track prep is good, but last time I went I did one pass, 11.89 @118 with a 1.68 60’ and then sat for an hour.

The reason I ask is because if there no track prep I will break all 4 tires loose Everytime.

don’t we all? We’re not going to the strip in stock B5 A4 1.8Ts

That’s why there’s a driver in the driver’s seat. To manage these things. If you’re breaking all 4 loose and sucking, you’re doing it wrong. Change your approach.
