When Jones visited me he forgot his helemt and we didn’t realize this until the morning we were going to the strip… Almost nothing was open so we went to WalMart and all they had was some kids/teen batting helmets for like $20, so he bought one of them… It worked as the track doesn’t actually check them, they just want to see you have something on your noggin… Needless to say it was pretty funny… Jeff blessed me by leaving it at my house so I’ll grab a pic tonight and post… Sorry, I thought of that with these posts… Carry on!

Adrian, don’t laugh. A bunch of us were going to play hockey (rented ice) and we needed a goalie. Matt (6’9" 285) agreed to try it out, so we got him rigged up with everything, but unfortunately the mask wouldn’t fit his massive head. So he went and got his old football helmet and wore that. I shit you not. It was fucking hilarious. We still reemed slapshots.
He was awesome in net funny enough. Very good athlete when he was younger.

Since Jacksonville, NC mainly exists because of the Marine Corps bases, the city is almost 98% military so those are the guys at test an tune at the strip. I’d be willing to bet you guys have never seen anyone run in a military kevlar…lol

yeah, the rain has basically killed it. They will likely not even open.
It’s also not appetizing to drive all the way there for them to close at 12pm or something.
Sunday looks cooler, clearer and drier. Headwind though.
