xls? you still using excel 2003?
well that’s what excel extensions have been for decades.
Thus the ‘or whatever’
Silentbob checked out the file and gave me a new set of instructions. Will see if I have time to do the logging today
What the F is readiness ? I heard someone mentioned it a while back; checked it and it was all “Passed”. Look now… Cars now have way too much shit that can go wrong
Readiness Status: 1110 1101
Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Failed or Incomplete
Oxygen Sensor Heating: Failed or Incomplete
Oxygen Sensor(s): Failed or Incomplete
Air Conditioning: Passed
Seconday Air Injection: Failed or Incomplete
Evaporative Emissions: Failed or Incomplete
Catalyst Heating: Passed
Catalytic Converter(s): Failed or Incomplete
Not sure why you have all that but your car wouldn’t pass NJ inspection like that. Let us know what you find out.
its an emissions test. some places let you fail one out of the 7 or 8 or whatever.
your car would not have passed lol. You should clear all codes and then after doing a driving cycle test readiness again.
Shit, and I don’t want to take the car to the dealer until some of this TD1 BS clears up a little…
Pablo, Sorry that you are having all these issues… have you asked Revo about these latest issues? If so what did they say? Hopefully, silentbob can chime in on these… I wonder if they are from the tune running very rich…
hey Ron; I sent Gary a PM this morning but he is in cali so won’t have a response till after noon. I already gave SB all the logs that he asked for and now we have to wait for his impressions.
Anyways I’m seriously thinking about getting my ECU reflashed at the dealer so I will be back to AUDI specs. I’ll wait out to see how all this evolves but without the fear of fucking up my car and having to pay all the bills… I have to talk to the service guy I know at the dealer and see if they can do this for me without flagging me as TD1
One thing I don’t understand is if all this shit would be happening to other REVO guys?.. Nobody cares? nobody has VCDS? It’s only happening to me?
Hang in there bud. See what Gary and SB have to say. U always have the option of getting it flashed back to stock. I know of one other revo customer that is getting the car flashed back to stock b/c of his uncertainty, lack of proper info in regards to these questions that have come up and potential issues he has been reading. No one knows for sure if there will be more issues with the spring/summer approaching. The winter is nice for selling tunes (dynos and 1/4 mile times). There are many questions I am sure a lot of people have.
I hope the logs you provided SB provide some insight. Your original timing logs on AZ were pretty close to what I logged in Pete’s car in regards to almost no timing pull and also requested vs actual boost.
Seems like there isn’t enough of a sample size with revo yet to see if anyone else having problems. And most that are tuned don’t own a vag com cable. At least the one’s I have met around here. And the guys who do have a cable- don’t know what to do with it as far as data logging.

- these problems may or may not be entirely tune related so keep that in mind
- while there are a bunch of REVO cars out there, they’re all over the place. Different areas have different quality gas. Different areas have different octane limitations too…so while you may be running the 93 tune on the east coast, the west coast guys are running a totally different file. There are lots of variables about the tune and the cars.
- not everyone will say out loud whether or not they are having these problems. Some get embarrassed when they go ‘against the grain’ and then have troubles. The wrath of the majority of the forum slamming you with ‘I told you so’ is pretty harsh, so they often just disappear from the forums.
- I’d take it easy with the car. I think knock is most dangerous when you are under load in low RPMs…so don’t be cruising in 6th gear at 50mph and mat the gas pedal etc. Just take it easy for a few days.
Good points Saki and Tsivas. I’ll wait and see what up.
And yes I always drive rev happy. I always had manuals and compared to the RPM range that the DSG takes me I would always be going a bit higher if it was manual. I drive in S so if I have to press the gas to speed up it goes down a gear immediately.
IDK if theres any correlation but i ALWAYS had failed readiness on my REVO RS4. i dont think at any point did i ever pass them all at the same time
odd as hell
yep me too on my previous MK5 R32 with that tune. always failed.

How are you failing cat readiness…? thought you just had a tune? You also failed EVAP and SAI.
Was the car parked when you did this? Or had it just been running?
if it has some miles on it and still fails all those maybe something with the fueling is out of wack? it may check some of those via fuel checks/o2 readings
wait how is egr failed? wtf, does the 3.0T have an egr valve? all the 4.2s have internal egr through cam advance, and I thought that was the case in all vag motors… even my A6 passes egr…
possible effort to eliminate CEL’s if running catless?
Could it be that I checked for readiness after clearing codes?.. going to check it again after running it for a while.
I checked it once a month or so ago and all was “Passed”. I already had the tune.
^yesh get like 100 miles on it then recheck, lots of stuff will come up failed until the car gets to check them
