Bent rim or busted Axle or bent rotor and wheel bearing. Something went tonight. Bad thump thump thump, frequency increases and decreases with speed.

Sucks. I was on the 75 last week and a few of the concrete sections have retarded bumps and potholes. 636 too. I think that’s what it’s called.

What were your other lw wheels? Your winters? If it’s a wheel just throw those on.
I sold my LW wheels with tires to madman (Glen), my winters are at the Audi dealership with the OEM Peelers on them.
I’ll be dropping car off in morning to diagnose, I don’t know what it could be right now. I examined the wheel and it looks fine.

I’ve had both my front bearings go in this S4, like any other Audi spec bearing it always seemed to make highway noise first. I made sure they replaced them before the warranty was up. The last one was right at the end of the warranty, I could hear it just barely on the highway, no play, but I had them change it anyway.
Maybe with the exhaust on the highway you couldn’t hear the noise…? Or Detroit roads suck that bad.
Car is fixe and should be at track Friday night and Sunday morning. Will report back here with results.

It was so busy last night… Regret going. Heard it’s the last NO ET weekend so it may be really busy… Plus rain forecasted for friday… I was hoping to go both friday and sunday as well. Time permitting, may try lapeer on saturday.
Let me know, I emailed lapeer and they are open both Saturday and Sunday.

Wish you would have done better but at least your back to where you were… As Jay mentioned, 11.56 is still moving very well… Thompson is open the next two weekends weather permitting… Hoping to have the S4 back on the road by then but if not I’ll probably make a handful of passes in the RS… You’re always welcome to come down…
