Milltek downpipes

Hi Guys,
Sorry it’s me again more advice needed.

So I’m wanting to put downpipes onto my RS4 B8.
However I don’t want to change all the exhaust and just the downpipes.

I’ve been quoted for some milltek ones
Part numbers
MSAU507REP & MSAU508REP

Milltek say they have no data to support if will fit to my OE system.
So I suppose my question is does anyone know if these will just fit straight on.
I’m open to recommendations too if someone has done anything similar.

I really don’t want to get it wrong as not cheap

I’m wanting non resonated downpipes

Ive got a place I can get them for just over£400.
This is the kit with the rear silencer rear box.
I’m not wanting to change rear box just the downpipe section.

I’ve found darkside developments have some that fit straight on.

JHM sell downpipes only (incl X pipe) for RS5 not sure if they fit RS4 but seems likely ?

Also the JHM and Milltek are the 2.75” to match the Cats unlike the Darkside which are only 2.5”

Perfect this is what I want to know.
I thought the miltek was only 2.30

Miltek just had no data to support they fit onto standard OEM back box.

So am I correct the miltek in the link I posted before darkside would fit.

Yes the RS5 is the same.
I don’t suppose anyone has a link for the JHM ones too by any chance do they. I’ve tried looking before but failed.

If the miltek ones fit and are 2.75 I’ll likely buy them

So no the milltek won’t necessarily fit because they haven’t manufactured the downpipes to line up with the rear ‘half’ of the OEM system, whereas JHM have specifically manufactured their downpipes to be installed on their own OR as part of their whole system.

I’m still not 100% certain the fitment Is the same on the RS4 and RS5 although the darkside product would indicate it is ? JHM or @Ape_Factory could probably advise

I’m of the opinion the system will work for both the RS4 and RS5 as there are no exhausts specifically for the RS4 and it isn’t any longer than the RS5.

I’ll get these JHM ones as in going to be getting JHM tune too plus I know they will fit :rofl:

The RS4 B8 exhaust is exactly same as RS5.
Same as the tune they do I need to get the RS5 one as they don’t list one for the RS4 as it’s the same.

Other than the fact the RS4 is an estate and RS5 isn’t is pretty much the only difference between the cars from what I’m finding out.
Hence I’m in the RS5 section haha they don’t do an area for us RS4 B8 owners we have to tag onto the RS5 sections :rofl:

Lucky the RS5 owners are very welcoming to us :+1:

The RS5 & 4 share most parts as they are the same car the only thing that is different is the shell apart from this everything is the same !

As someone put it to me once the only difference between the two is an RS4 has a fat ass :joy::joy:

The reason there is not an RS4 B8 section on here is because the RS4 B8 was never available in the U.S !

Big day today the downpipes and xpipe are been ordered.
Thanks to Ape and Redmist racing for helping me out ordering them.

Can’t wait.

Then it’s just stage 2 tune and oil cooler kit to go :rofl:
