Does MIR rent helmets to test and tune drivers, or am I required to bring my own ? What is required from racers to pass tech?

They rent helmets but the times that I went they only had two or three max. For tech inspection they never even asked me anything - just fill out the form and done.

Renting a helmet is ghetto as fuck. Just buy a cheap one.

How much is a cheap helmet ? At englishtown the helmets are $5 to rent. It’s not like I will be tacking m daily driver every other wekend. If I CA get a helmet for under $100 it might be worth it. If not, I’d rather rent a good quality helmet for better protection.
I got an extra helmet that’s been sitting on a shelf for a while. Free if you pay shipping. However, I must note…it fits big on most people. My cap size use to be 7 3/8 with a full head of hair, but it’s most likely just over 7 now that I wear my hair short. It’s DOT regulation and was on par with NHRA about 8 years ago

Your welcome and I don’t live there either but they have all the good 1/4 mile drag strips. Capital Raceway in Crofton runs Friday nights instead of during the hot ass middle of the day like MIR so I recommend going there for faster times. Plus it is about forty feet lower in elevation too. The downside is that I am not sure if they rent helmets since I never went fast enough there to need one while stockish.
I appreciate your generosity and will gladly except your offer. If it doesn’t fit, Ill just let someone with a bigger/smaller helmet size use it. I would usually say “no thank you” while responding to a post like this, but I am rarely given something for free, especially from strangers, thanks.
