Any track plans for the car

Great to see any first start of a project - must be exciting. +1 on ChrisK’s comment, any plans for the drag strip. It would be cool to see where this fits in.

Are you a mechanic or something? Your build thread started like 2 weeks ago and you’ve made some swift progress there in your garage plus looking after a 4yo!

Monty, did you post this here because You felt that people would be impressed by this 034 kit" or was it because you wanted audirevolution to enjoy your 034 kit? If to impress the already unimpressed, It did not work. If you did it to show your kit, please update It just as you would on audibitchzine.

When do you think your car will be done?

Why did you use one 5858 Turbo and not two gt58’s?

He’s just sharing his car. I hope it gets running soon and kicks some ass. B5 guys need some progress. A Cheap stk from 034, if it works well, would be a cool alternative to the other stuff out there. Competition from good alternatives only makes the market stronger. It’s the endless coddling and protection of the failures that gets damaging.

I’m absolutely going to the track when I get my tune dialed in… FAW sorry for sharing my build with you, I thought car guys liked seeing builds…

My main reason for sharing my build with people is because I’m evaluating a new product and I want others to be able to learn from my experiences…good or bad…

This is my hobby. I love performance/engines/turbos/etc… I’m impatient and I made sure I had most everything I needed before I started my build so that it wouldn’t take 3 years to complete lol…

The b5 guys need someone like you. Too long is the burry bad results in dyno sheet or some weak ass logs plauged the b5. Almost no one in the b5geats rsspect cause wheb there is. Flop they flee. I like the Good or bad part.

Car guys love seeing builds. FAW is crazy. Don’t mind him.

Sharing info on this STK is great, and everyone appreciates it. I wish the companies would do all of this stuff for you guys the way APR or JHM or TTS currently does. Own the car, build it out, test your parts, share your results. Everything. Don’t leave it up to your damn customers. What always happens is the customers feel an allegiance to the company, then they end up flying the flag and rightly or wrongly, get lumped in with the company and everyone demands information.

Thanks for sharing Monty. The speed with which you put that together was impressive. Where are you located?

thanks guys. I’m in south eastern pa, about 30 minutes from awe tuning.

Car is running real good on it’s 15psi base tune. I should be getting a revision in February.

I also spoke with a few friends and we are planning on going to Maple Grove when it opens April 28th! if anyone else wants to go it would be cool to meet some of you!

Glad to hear that it’s running good.

How many revisions are you going to be getting before you have a solid tune? Or do you plan on having a base tune for ever, just like it seems every 605 car has?

^^ LOL this is a single turbo car and the OP has done more with his car in 3 weeks than most in 3 years lol.

Monty23 - vids of a driving car, please! Who’s doing your tune? What does the stg 3 drag clutch feel like for just driving around?

probably 034 tuning as part of the kit, no?

That would make sense! I can’t be arsed to look it up but have they used this setup in any of their euro tuner cars? I know they did one year with a vr6 and another year with something more conventional like a 1.8t or 2.7t.

The tuning is user preference with the 034 STK. I believe Monty is going through JFonz.

To answer my own question, it was a 4 cyl turbo A4: http://www.034motorsport.com/034motorsport-a4-time-attack-car-a-146.html

I’m running a 15psi base tune from JFonz. I have an appointment scheduled for the first full week of Feb for my finalized in person street tune from the man himself!

Here are some logs from my base tune. It definitely feels stronger than when I was stage 2…

My Stage 3 drag clutch feels amazing (only have 200mi on it so far). Pedal pressure is like stock… It’s a bit grabby but very drive able, even in stop and go traffic. I would recommend this clutch to anyone. And keep in mind I am running a Fidanza LWFW as well so if you were to run a steel FW I’m sure the clutch would feel even more like stock!

No way to embed video. Car sounds great!
