Ive seen this be the down fall on the 4.2 where strat actually ripped off several people and I agree that this is one more attempt to try and chash in on the new attepts on the 3.0 gang to make more power.

Congrats to lout for knowing his shit. The need for headers or exhaust permaitors is set off a number of things. one of them is the kind of motor. A 6cyl V style motor with full runners that don’t share space are all that is needed. Adding headers on a 6cylinder isn’t going to gaion you as muich as getting those cats out of there

So the responce to this ownage that headers are not needed on the 3.0 was this

Yes the guesses are what really does damage to the end user. You always get the guys that don’t see the issue. Fact of the matter is not all parts are created equal and you can have two parts that look the smae but there just not the same. In the end most people don’t know how much companys like strat DON"T actually know. ITs sad but its good that there are not people and forums that can share past failures of these companyus and make sure to put out good information

The difference comes from trying to cash in and to pass off bad info to make it sound better then what it is. The history of strat kind of keeps doing the same thing

Exactly I don’t think anyone cares that strat is making parts cause I don’t see any of the guys buying anything from them. The thing that pisses people off is when you show no interest and then when the colunity gets excited THEN you want to jump in and say here look what we did. … we didn’t do shit for years when people ased for it. Now that JHM has like 50 pages of people talking about go fast parts we decided to now do something.

Then the second part is to try and make the MUCH MUCH cheaper 2.2" exhuast sound so great given the information strat put out. its just shit companys looking to ride the excitment that others started

Fact of the matter is Strat has a friend that has a 3.0 A4 and has done dick to support him or his car till now…when JHM has seemingly taken the dead 3.0 and gotten the masses excited about it… Odd timing if you ask me. IF you want my opinion its all about strat trying to grab some of the money baised off the execitment that jhm has while there testing.

JHM is testing and working to take time and find the right solution for the 3.0 guys. In the down time what a great time for strat to try and make some money off those guys who don’t want to wait for the testing to get over.

All this time strat has a friend with a 3.0 and could care less till jhm has excited the people… is there anyone that can’t see how people have a fuck you strat attitude. Maybe they should have actually taken the time to do thei before JHM has starated a product line and taken time to test and excite people

Lets face it. A company that acts like this shows those members that are actually paying attention just how desperate they are.

Its clear that stratmosphere isn’t interested in supporting the 3.0 seen. There interested in trying to cash in on the excitement of the members at what ever expense. Just about every product they have is a attempt to lure people into getting products that have been just thrown together.

I don’t think they have ever done one piece of research on anything they made. The fact that they have sold HOT AIR INTAKES For years knowing that there dyno sheets are false should say something right there.

What research has been done for the dps? Look at the “hot air intake”. It’s all one big gimmick. Comments like “it should be good enough” should be all people need to hear in the first place.

What really irks me is all the 1.8 guys that have no fucking clue about the 3.0 scene and what is actually going on. I’m sorry? We just don’t want to throw our money on a bullshit product from a company that does no research before they push a sale on a product? It’s pissed me off when we ask questions about them and they jump down our throats saying “this is why 3.0s don’t have aftermarket support” Fuck off. I don’t want shitty parts on my car when a real performance company has taken our cars by the horns and is making them better. So glad I have a 3.0 thanks to JHM, and looking so forward to the future of our cars.

I agree 110% with the last 2 statements.

My favorite comment from that thread was the viceprp guy that went off on a bender about everyone who owned a 3.0. “JHM isn’t going to be your savior for the platform”… or something to that extent. Then he spewed some incorrect facts about how the size of the exhaust won’t matter, we should get a 1.8T if we want 400whp (which noone even hinted at), and that the car will always be slow. Even AudiA4_20T (of all people) called him out on that!

Lol, I almost bought a 1.8T when I was rear ended earlier on this year, fortunately my car wasn’t written off so I didn’t have to… Then the whole 3.0 movement might have never happened :o Not to mention I’d be online all the time complaining about how my car wasn’t running right, and have a 50 page build thread going nowhere :stuck_out_tongue:
