anyone know if this charger is worth it
STFU and delete that link.
lol
Just say no
If your new. Motodyne is a joke. Motodyne is a guy called Robert Hack. he has ripped many people off. Its a scam artist that has been getting away with stealing peples money for years.
Notice how there is no adress… Thats because motodyune ripped off so many poeple that someone actually went to the adress on the website and found it was an empty building. Biggest scam in the industry.
Search. No one has ever had one of his products…because they don’t exsist… Even posts that people start about motordyne and getting parts… its usually rob hack starting them then argunig with the people on the fourms.
Wow I see…thanks and please delete this thread
motodyne threads are essentially a rule of the internet, as the number of posts about VAG cars increases so does the probablility that a motodyne post will happen.
just glad you asked before contacting them
this is my not shocked face
If you really have some money in your wallet that you want to dump into the engine, then S8 heads and intake will get you about 60hp.
Here is one S8 head you can get for dirt cheap
http://www.ebay.com/itm/01-02-03-AUDI-S8-RIGHT-SIDE-CYLINDER-HEAD-4-2L-THRU-9-02-/390493457932?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAudi|Model%3AS8&hash=item5aeb394e0c&vxp=mtr
An S6/S8 intake manifold can be found for about $200, if you keep searching. Plus you’ll need to find another head (dont pay over $350 for each)
Installation of the parts is about $1200, plus another $400 in bolts/gaskets/etc. If you can do the work yourself, even better.
After that, go catless or high flow, and a 2.5 exhaust and youre done. With more or less the same setup, I dynoed about 278hp/296tq at the wheels on a 91 tune.
Having said all that, I wouldnt do it again. It was a great learning experience, but a lot of work and money. And I really didnt get much of it back when I sold the car. My advice, fix all the little things on the car and save up some money. My guess is that if you have $10K cash ready to spend on forced induction, then we can probably help you find a reputable shop to put something together for you.
Don’t worry about it but I don’t think we’ve had a motodyne thread on AR, worth leaving up for future searches on here.
hey i searched AR and didnt find anything so i thought i would ask…thanks guys.
The S4 intake should fit the heads, but will just make everything else more complicated. No reason to use it over the S6/S8, which bolts right up (except the TB, which may be a different size depending on the year of your A6)
The 40v v8 exhaust manifold flanges are available from advanced automotion for $189. Go wild!
JHM could probably make you up a set of headers, as they had some in the past. However, I am not sure if they are still available.
Oh, and before you ask about the PES supercharger for the C5 A6, it is a piece of crap too.
Dont get anything from advanced automotion…so far the two guys that were unlucky enough to get the flanges had tthen warp the firdt time you try to weld anything to thrm…there cheep and they suck

im really good with the tig welder…but before i use them im going to make a mold of them so if the do warp i can has my brother make me a set. he does that cnc crud.
Those are A8, not S8 heads.
This thought may be totally unfounded, but I get the feeling you are about to get in way over your head with this car. A lot of the questions you are asking display a lack of basic knowledge about these vehicles. I am not saying I know a lot more, but I wouldnt be ripping my car apart and trying to replace the heads and intake manifold, and make my own headers either.
Maybe I am totally underestimating you, but my guess is things will not end well if you start tearing your car apart.
I would concentrate on fixing the small stuff. I haven’t even see you pull a log with vagcom yet. Have you? It may show some things (like bad o2 sensors) that can be fixed to give your car more power.
But good Luck anyway, whatever you do. Make sure you post pics along the way.
i have not posted a vag log because there is nothing wrong with car. no codes, engine runs smooth as butter as does the trans. only thing it needs is front control arm kit and the intake actuator arms. which i ordered from gruven. i ask alot because i want others opions and insights. i am not familar with this motor like i am with the 1.8t and the 3.0. i know the 3.0 motor like the back of my hand. i did everthing to that 3.0 i had…still have.
