^^^ weekends?
Holy crap. I just rechecked the ATCO 2012 calendar and they have a ton of test and tunes at 9am on certain saturdays and sundays from right now through the end of the year.
ok, I will make an effort to plan a trip before 2013. End of November is my best bet, right after we return from vaca.
I will try and get a bunch of us together to make the trip.
how did you not know that lol?
weekend day test and tunes are entirely common.
start a thread in general discussion here, and maybe on az rs4
maybe tsivas will finally man up!
I swear I checked this schedule over the summer a couple of times and the schedule only had test & tunes on wed nights. All the weekends had events for special stuff with money racing prizes etc. Dead serious. I just checked now for the first time since August if I had to guess, the schedule was way different.
Rule number one: don’t tell anyone you’re going to the track ;D
I will communicate with my peeps offline
yeah good point…lots of events there blowing up the weekends
Tsivas if you go, you have to fly a Greek flag, world cup month style.
Oh that’s a given, along with the “powered by tzatziki” sticker and 564 religious trinkets hanging from my rear view, lol
lol. I’ll pay you to run a Greek flag on the hood.
LOL blue and white painters tape should work.

when we meeting up…
rs4_saloon and I have been wanting to go to the track. we are down…
When are we going to see the JHM exhaust vs this one (sound comparison)?
Any other local rs4 guys with exhaust ? Could be a great video
mohammed aka rs4_saloon has capristo
steve aka swesna has mtm
paul has jhm in da garage…once he gets it on we can do a great video
but hey…we are ready to go to ATCO…name the day we shall be there except for nov 10
it should be some fun.
The one guy has your old JHM now right? And NY has the tube
the guy with the jhm is from virginia…that is zach aka zmon.
i got the car on jacks in the garage and have loosened up the exhaust clamps. either going to use PB or soapy water on the hangers and then pry off the hangers. it should be easy…then take my time and install the mtm should be done in a few days…we are having a big storm…might have to wait til that clears up.
sandy slowed down my progress on the mtm swap.
i am going to hopefully get the catback removed today.
i have got the vacuum line off the valved mufflers and both mufflers removed from the hangers.
working on removing the mid section from the hangers now.
there are two exhaust clamps on each side holding the mid section to the downpipes. i have removed one exhaust clamp from each side…not sure if i need to remove both or not.
going to remove the mid section from hanger first and then see if i can knock off the mid section from the downpipes. if it does not come off then remove the second set of exhaust clamps.
goal is to get this off today and put the mtm on tomorrow…or maybe tonight if i get ambitious.
oem catback is off…the hardest part is prying the exhaust off the midsection hangers otherwise it is very easy.
catback is not sitting next to my driveway.
Take pics if you can. We always like pics
the hangers in the RS4…can you just take the whole hanger off the car easily? If so do that and then take the hanger off the catback while you’re not crammed under a car on jack stands.
Then just bolt the hangers back up after you have the MTM attached to them.

yes can do this on the hangers for the mufflers but the one that holds the mid section goes over the drive shaft. i wish i could do that with the one on the mid section…would be very helpful because installing two bolts is a lot easier than going through the rubber hanger bracket while under the car.
i am trying to fit the mtm adapters into the mtm mid section now and then determine how far they need to be inserted into the mid section so it lines up to the hangers properly…somewhat of a pain bc the mid section is very heavy to hold in place. the flex pipes on the downpipes are no doubt flexing during the install.
