It’s porsche gt3 rs grey, I have the paint code somewhere. Record wise, hmmm not sure i might possibly attempt the top speed again just to see what the car will do. Why did the engine blow up? Good question, a terrible engine build the first time round would be the main culprit. It gave way after around 1300 miles, the race in which it have way was against another 600hp S4. Ill post the video I got a little carried away with the launch control feature showing off, I’m also certain that was a factor in the car letting go.

very exciting. Really this is a transformation and not just a build. Love the color choice and the detail to all the added parts. It all really blends together, looks like much more then a B5.

Ill post all the pics of the running gear over haul as well, it was a complete bare shell every single thing was replaced or upgraded. The ohlins on my car require rebuilding every now and then as well which i didn’t know so there were done to. I’m not chasing numbers on this build but I hope to see 750ish at the fly, the last build the car was stupid fast. It made my blown B7 feel pedestrian tbh. Give me till next week and ill post more updates along with a more detailed spec sheet

I’ve always been curious to see a Loba build. What exactly are you using from Loba? I have always been under the impression it’s high quality stuff but I don’t really know. Is there a distributor in the states, RSworx correct? I haven’t seen anyone use Loba parts, I’m guessing because of price and or availability.

Loba parts are readily available for world wide delivery, I think its just a case of the people who their parts are hardcore B5 fans (due to price) There’s no doubt imo Loba do the best B5 products, my engine build is around 45k usd. Parts wise I’m using the following from Loba:
Block= machined to 3L using Loba supplied 3L crank and Loba spec rods and pistons, block will also be deck cooled.
Heads= cleaned and then taken to Loba stage 3 spec using Loba’s own 5 axis cnc machine program. Oversized valves and I’m sticking with hydraulic valve train, I could go mechanical and rev a little higher but I don’t fancy solid lifters. Ill also be using Loba cams, these have shown great gains on any car that’s installed them. I’ve got Loba cast manifolds that have been ceramic coated and Loba cnc machined intake manifold
Clutch= Loba 1000nm rated twin plate Kevlar clutch
Turbos= Loba 750’s, the name says it all. The spool on these turbos is what makes them so special. Positive boost around 1500rpm and full spool around 3400rpm is quite uncanny for such a big turbo
I’d highly recommend people check out Loba products, don’t be put off by the price.

No worries I don’t like talking money tbh because I don’t want to sound like ‘one a those guys’ I just enjoy modding cars. In total with this build and the last one the B5 will owe in excess of 100k our money. Andre from Norway has spent well over that on his Loba build but he has so many unique parts on his its truly remarkable. Over the next 4-6 weeks things will start taking shape, I am hopeful to be driving the car the tail end of July
Thanks TT! I wasn’t personally turned off by the price but I’m guessing the majority of B5 owners are. I’ve been curious about their products so thank you for sharing. Their exhaust manifolds/tubular headers caught my attention but wasn’t sure what turbos would mate up to these or if they were specifically matched for their line of turbos.
I forgot I’d posted about this car on here after about 3 years pissing about in almost done with it! Trimmer will be finished next week and engines being shipped to the uk next week also. Gearbox is done, I had it stripped super finished and rebuilt updating the Hub and syncro’s with jhm parts heres some pics
