My frist weekend away in the s6

Gorgeous pics, sounds like a great time. Beautiful country. Car looks great, don’t see many silver ones - seems around here they’re all black. Funny to see a RHD one.

I too dig the grille, and the window trim wrap looks great - I think on a silver car the contrast works, on a black car I tend to think it looks too “murdered out” (IMO). I think the rear trim and badge look OK on yours.

I LOVE tint, do every one of my cars. However, I’d not do it if local laws prohibited doing the front pair of windows - it looks REALLY goofy (to me). Sorry 8-). Can you do the fronts?

I too think the OE supsension is a bit crashy, and definitely stiff. I tend to lower all my cars, but this one I think the ride height is spot on (not a fan of slammed cars). Handling-wise, yes these can plow - however, I firmly believe one merely needs to modify their line / technique to alleviate that entirely. I’ve found the handling to be quite impressive, only in rapid transitions do I feel the heft and even then it’s not tragic. In short, me - I’d save my $$$ on coilovers but that’s just me.

I too just took mine on my first roadtrip last weekend, up to VT with the wife. Using no throttle for 2 days and then 200mi highway / 100mi backroads, all cruising @ 90 (hwy) / 60 (bckrd), I averaged 15.9mpg. Crykie. I thought my 11.9 ave was bad when I’m alone, and hoped the wifely MPG would have fared better. D’oh. :sunglasses:

I can lightly tint the front windows but probably not as much as the rears. I’ll give the suspension another few months before i invest in a new setup.

I was seeling close to 25-30 mpg on this trip cruising at about 120-140kmh

Schultz seriously there has to be something going on with your car. That MPG is way off. Did you ever check your MPG before you got the APR program.

I did the tune as it was being prep’d @ my bud’s shop for delivery, so no.

Those calc’s are manual gallons in / miles driven - not via the Trip computer. Those are bunk in every car I’ve ever owned, IMO/E.

I’m guessing I’ve got carbon buildup which is not helping, and that the APR tune kills the mpg. Not that I bought the car for mpg, far from it… would of course enjoy somewhat more tho 8-/.

Also mind you, my 11.9 ave when I’m “alone” includes a shit ton of WOT… and… sustained WOT… and sustained Just Not Right indicated’s… sollllllllid triple digits, everywhere, all the time 24/7/365. I’m certain that don’t help mpg, sure helps my soul tho (as wrong as it may be, save the bleeding heart criticizms lol).

I’m betting much of my #'s are “behavioral”…

I’ve been logging my MPG using the same method (gallons in vs miles driven) since buying the car.

Below is my mileage as a reference… (stock except recent carbon cleaning/new manifold/manifold spacers)
You can see which tanks I was having more “fun” with and then there’s also a few road trips in there as well (with 3 large adult passengers (golf trip))

11/6/15- 12.55mpg
11/20- 11.48
11/25- 16.4
12/5- 11.19
12/8- 17.79
12/9- 17.9
12/14- 19.7
12/23- 13.62
12/30- 13.74
1/7/16- 13.6
1/11- 15.32
1/27- 12.64
1/31- 17.00
2/10- 13.96
2/18- 13.31
2/27- 13.89
3/5- 14.09
3/12- 13.5
3/20- 15.25
3/31- 13.65
4/8- 14.45

When running right on highway I could get 23-27 mpg calculated. 27 is driving like grandma, 23 is normal. This was fully maintained with the exhaust filters and no issues aka running tip top

That looks about the same as mine on Fuelly. The best I ever reached was just under 20MPG for a full tank on the highway at about 80 (DC-Savannah) Driving around town and in traffic puts me in the 10-13 range…

I found on my S4 that has basically the same transmission and two less cylinders that if you pull up the instant MPG reading that it will help you get better MPG results. I average about 24ish but if I dont pay attention it is easy to over gas the car and that impacks the cars MPG by a bunch.

I would pull up the instant MPG and play with where you keep the pedal while driving.

seems my MPG results aren’t that far off of some of youses - again, much of my abyssmal #'s are behavioral

yes, I do at times flip on the ‘instant’ MPG in the trip… don’t ever see north of 20.5 at no throttle cruise (I never cruise less than 80 tho?)… and… didjaknow that it doesn’t register below 5? Bottoms out there. LOLOLOL… don’t ask 8-)…
