My new Brembos

I picked up three pairs of Brembos from some wreckers around the area. Two pairs of 17z and one pair of 18z. I’m keeping one pair for myself, and selling two. I realized after I got them that they would be a lot easier sale if they were rebuilt and powder coated. So, I took a risk and took them to a local place in Toronto called Midwest Caliper.

After

As you can imagine, I am VERY happy with the results. I wish the Audisport logo was larger, but I really cant complain considering everything else.

looks good, I’ll have to keep them in mind if I do any caliper swaps

ok let me be honest…

I thought you got ripped off here with this picture… not matter what you paid…

Then…

I thought you got a fucking steal no matter what you paid in this poicture.

hey thanks

When I first picked them up, I had the idea I was going to clean them up and paint them myself. I bought a huge jug of Heavy Duty Simple Green (didnt want to use anything toxic) and a hard brush and got to work. Well, after 15min of scrubbing one caliper and getting practically nowhere, I decided Id let the pros do the work. And Im very glad I did.

OP, wow, what a difference!

For anyone trying to clean up a caliper, I’ve found the easiest way is not to bother with any chemicals. Rather, put a metal wire wheel into your drill and have fun. In 5 min you will have a beautiful caliper surface ready for paint.

Good to know. The thought did actually cross my mind when I was doing it. I ordered 30 wire brushes for my dremel from China

Dont need them for the calipers now. But theyll go to good use cleaning up the BBQ grill.
