My new to me & CODE FREE D3L

So I picked this baby up from a local guy here in Reno last week for a whopping 3500. Needed some leatherette and a wash on the exterior. Came with the black 20s and some standard tires. I have the original 18x8s as well. Car has one code in the engine for an engine mount solenoid, no codes in the adaptive air, no codes in the trans, no codes in the MMI!!! This thing is in excellent shape with 165,xxx. So far I have just re-painted the calipers silver and cleaned…

Here are a few pics and below that is the maintenance history and work needing to be done. Im excited for my new daily driver to take some load off my finished stage 3 ar…

Here is what it needs:
Brake Light Switch, Left Engine Mount, Timing Belt Service at 170k, Trunk Struts, Passenger Door side trim clip, Fuel Filter, air cond drains clean?, engine bay clean and drains, rear blind clips $60, center console arm rest re-paint, overhead light burned out, headlight DRL out on drivers,? Valve cover gaskets maybe?, parking sensors on mmi screen upgrade to rev D module

Those are great cars

Great list of stuff they had done as well.

I would get a good picture of the front of the motor. If there is a large amount of blowby on the heads then its a good idea to do the valve cover gaskets. The fuel filter is a must do so that’s good to see on the list.

Great post. any plans for the car or just maintain and drive

The Fuel filter was done at 103K, but we know how dirty they get and ruin the pumps. No thanks!

Yea the drivers side valve cover gasket is a tad wet. I think Ill let it ride that way till I do the timing belt and do everything at once.

Im not gonna mod anything. Maybe play with vcds for windows, cornering light, etc. Try and continue to find and remedy codes… Most likely leave the suspension height stock. Need a reliable audi like our 04 c5 4.2. One of the best cars we have ever owned.

Probably install OEM BT and AMI at some point when I am feeling froggy. Sorta nervous to mess with the MOST
