My pics

I take lots of photos, so I’m going to post some here as I see interesting stuff.

Today saw these guys. Haven’t done any processing…these are as they came out of the camera other than a crop. My Mac hard drive died (again) so I need to reload all my image editing software.

Bald Eagle heading to his/her nest. Couldn’t see if he had a knob and bollocks or not. THere’s actually a pair of them near my house (10 minute drive) and they have a fairly massive nest. Word is they’ll have some little guys in May/June. Those would be cool pics.

Saw these neat looking woodpeckers too. They’re called Northern Flickers.

nice pics, all I ever see around here for interesting birds are blue jays, cardinals and the occasional hawk. Sometimes packs of wild turkeys.

Yeah, I saw some wild turkeys not far from my house about a week ago. They’re pretty cool. I’ve only seen them like 3 times.

We actually were down to zero wild turkeys a number of years ago here in Ontario. We had too many moose, so one of the northeast states made a trade with us…a bunch of moose for a bunch of wild turkeys. Funny because now the wild turkeys are thriving. They’re pretty brave and have been considered pests in some areas.

yeah the turkeys definitely are brave, interesting about the moose trade, I’ve only ever seen a handfull of moose in all my time up north

There is a pro photog on the Audo other sites, who is also an RS4 owner. His name is Scotty something on the forums. He’s got talent. I’ve met him at meets and had the opportunity to look at a lot of his wildlife pics which are all unreal.

We have a few interesting birds in my neighborhood that sometimes hang out in our back yard or by the pool. One wood pecker, two Cardinals (I think they’re a couple lol) and various Blue Jays. There is a HUGE hawk (I’m not that familiar with types of hawks exist so it may be some other species for all I know) that I just had a pretty awesome encounter with. Driving home about a week ago I noticed something large to my left falling from the sky (sounds weird I know) and glanced over to look while driving. What it ended up being was that huge hawk swooped down and snapped up a rather large looking rodent and flew right across my windshield with the thing in it’s claws. Looked disturbing but awesome at the same time. There is a undeveloped piece of land directly across the street from my house which is all woods which is where most of these birds take refuge and make nests. At night we see a bunch of bats as well, helps keeps those annoying mosquitos in check.

Double post.

Probably a Redtail Hawk that you saw…pretty common in the northeast.

Brianja (whoever that is) seems to be a bit of a photo nut. Is the Scotty guy the one with the MTM hood? I think TSIVAS was saying he recently met up with him and RS4Tony at their logging spot. RS4 Tony vs. Scotty was apparently pretty much a dead heat. No idea what Scotty’s mods are.

We just have geese here. Lots of geese. And lots of geese shit. Also a lot of those medium sized black ones. No idea what they are called but they’re always chillin on power lines and street lights.

Yes, I met Brianja also, he does great work. He’s the one who takes all or most of the pics for the annual RS4 run we do. Yes, Scotty has the MTM hood. Scotty has: APR tune, JHM LW Flywheel and stage IV clutch. Maybe an intake? His weak link in the HEAVY 20 wheels he rocks. They are killing his performance. Tony has JHM intake spacers (Scott may also…not sure), JHM IV clutch/lw flywheel, H-pipe and thats it I think. I’ll be meeting up with them in the coming weeks for logging/pulls since I am now finished with my break in.

lol, we have a ton of gease and gease shit as well. ALWAYS f’n up my golf days. Either my ball starts hoping like a jumping bean from rolling over shit or I end up stepping in it. Annoying as hell.

We have hawks or something that looks like hawks that hang out on top of telephone poles and street lamps as well. They are a little smaller than what I saw on my street last week but look similar in body type.

I have hit a few geese on the coarse. I have barn owls here, and at night the are annoying…

A pack i came across last november

funny, I mentioned above that they’re becoming pests in some communities? Barrie where bora lives is EXACTLY what I was talking about. They’re everywhere, and they’re not scared of people or cars. I’ve seen video of them chasing kids, attacking cars. Funny shit.!

I snapped some good pics of wild turkeys a week ago…I’ll have to get them up here. DAMN MACBOOK DEAD HARD DRIVE!!!

Anyone know anything about swapping in a SSD hard drive instead? Mayeb that will help (3 dead drives in 5 years on this bitch)

how old is your mac? 5 years… nm! You might have SSD in there already?

They are a snap to swap over. You just need to buy a mac SSD (they were on sale 2 days ago on newegg) and youll need a mac screw driver if you dont have one already. If im not mistaken they have tri-tip style screws or something.

Whats your model number. ill let you know what you need when i get home tonight to make the swap.

it’s old. It’s not SSD (unless I’m screwing that up).

I think it’s a 2006 MacBook. so 6 years or so?

I was thinking SSD is steady state…which is kind of no-moving-parts. Not the kind that spins up.
