Thought I’d post this, you can see the mileage, I usually try to keep it below a 7k oil change but got side tracked, work, too many vehicles. I use this specialty oil (Quantum Blue 7.5w-40 custom mix) in my Stg2+ S5, Stg2 RS5, and Stg2 RS6. I use Redline 5w-40 in pretty much the rest of my vehicles.

This is very useful indeed to sample data vs analyses of conventional oil. Looking at these data already switch to quantum (as long as i can get it in Europe) makes sense and should allow to extend the change intervals a bit.
I am considering moving to 5w40 to protect the timing chain guides plastic. Do you reckon there enough difference between 5w30 and 5w40 castrol edge, or to save the guides for longer, should I pick some better what I can source of the oils above?
I suspect the top guide on bank 1; there is a difference between intake and exhaust camshaft of about 2 degrees higher on the exhaust, where on the intake it is 2.8 degrees. Given the short distance between them and that I changes the valve camshaft hydraulic adjuster, I can only that. It will of course wear a bit more on the cold start with higher viscosity , but during higher revs, might make it worth while, of course considering number of cold-starts and how often it it reved high.
I use a French address service that allows me shipping to US addresses meaning I can get stuff to Europe from the US. Do I contact [

BND is super legit I contacted him from what hahnmgh63 posted a bit back… If your over seas I don’t know if they can ship some of those chems out of the us. But if you can get it. Best stuff money can buy
