need help with a snarky comeback

So I’ve had the S5 for about 6 weeks. M3 owner friend just piped up “drifting in that thing yet, Matt?”

Something down the lines of “let me introduce you to Quattro” …?

or

“actually in the quattro world of spirited driving, the hood of the car always points in the direction of the road ahead ;-)”

Although I don’t quite see the relevance of the comment as plenty of AWD vehicles can drift just fine, I might respond with “Run of into a snowy ditch yet?”

unfortunately (but fortunately for him) he lives in BC so he doesn’t need to worry quite as much as a local M3 owner would.

nerd

Just tell him you had sex with his wife.

^lol

krameresque!

Anyway, these cars will get sideways whenever you want (or don’t)

Tell him you thought you saw him 7x on the way to the office this morning. M3’s are nice but quite common.

Haha! Or jerk store

Show him how Merc have gone AWD with their new E63. Just the M3 losers with RWD now

y’know what I realized this morning? I’ve not used 5th gear once and I figure I never will. First 3, maybe 4 to accelerate; 6th to cruise. 5th seems to be there pointlessly from a practical perspective.

I still use it on occasion when I want to save gas and I’m going around 60kph or if the car’s still cold. It’s true that I don’t use it very often either. They might be using it more on the autobahn though. To accelerate, like how we use 4th

almost 6 years owning b6-b7 S4’s … i think i used 5th a total of 50 times… 45 of those were me just putting it in a wrong gear

only time I ever used 5th was when I was going excessively fast
