08 RS4, bushings are shot, putting in new arms, should I just pony up the extra for adjustable arms? Will likely go coilovers at some point, seemed like a “may as well” situation, but if they’re not needed I’m all for saving money.
Thoughts?

Only needed for alignment when lowered. If you are definitely dropping the car, then it’s a nice mod to help with alignment. But if you’re not going to drop the ride height, or when you do it’ll be a very very subtle drop, then they are really not needed. The bushings on the adjustable arms are nicer, but again stock are great and it doesn’t sound like your car is seeing any track time.
Curious as to what gave you that impression. Guess some sort of intro post may have helped for some background, but the topic was on my brain this morning on my way out the door and wanted to spit it out before I forgot again.
Lowering would likely be half an inch at best, plus or minus whatever it took for balancing. Scales in the garage, it would be a sin not to use them.
I’m sure I’m overthinking. Just didn’t want to purchase something twice due to ignorance. Trying to think ahead. So brand suggestions are welcome as well.
Unless your really doing a lot of needed adjustment there is no need to spend the extra money. Sorce a good set of oem arms and put those in.
