Little bit of an update, in a few days my car is going to get detailed, the passenger door adjusted, spoiler refitted, calipers will be painted red. The guy is going to be taking off the entire spoiler so I have to option of having it wrapped in carbon vinyl. Would this look cheap/ excessive? I’m not to sure about it but I’m leaning towards not doing it. As for the supercharger my mechanic friend is going to order a new seal for the intake and he believes that’ll help it pass inspection.
Decided to not do the wrap or paint the calipers red.
Smart move. The car is great looking it has a less is more feel to it. Im very excited to see how this comes together for you. Being close to beemercer will make sure you never have to worry too much about your car. He is a smart guy good to know
Thanks Chris, if I paint the calipers anything it’ll be something subtle like black or grey. They’re too small to be attractIng attention with red. That’s it for the exterior after it gets detailed it is officially finished for me, anything else would be over the top. My next projects will be the tune and replacing the wood trim.
My friend is almost done detailing my car, he reprinted the rear bumper and adjusted the passenger door for me.
Congrats, I had a G3 kit on my 3.0 for over 3 years and never had any major problems. The only part about it I wasn’t thrilled about was either the tuning was a little off during warm up so the car would run rough for the first 1-2 min. or the injectors had a poor spray pattern match when the engine was still cold. After that brief warm up though it ran smooth and had a safe AFR throughout the range. I got my car 7 1/2 years ago and still daily drive it, its been a great car. I sold the G3 kit a couple years ago for various reasons but none b/c of issues with the kit itself.
A couple things, like others have mentioned it would be nice to know who tuned your car, but not completely necessary. Something I noticed is your injectors look gray, whereas the injectors with the PES kit were typically light blue from Bosch. Can you check a serial number and find out what they are? I’d be curious what the flow rate is. That also might give a clue about what tune it has. Also if you could do some logs and check injector duty cycle, requested and measured lambda values, and fuel trims that would be really helpful to know your AFR. It’s been a while since I’ve done this but off hand channels 003, 021 and 022 might get you started. If someone else doesn’t post up values I can research it more if you have access to a VAG-COM of some sort. Last, if you felt like taking a little time you could pull the ECU cover off and see if there is any writing on the ECU indicating who tuned it. Some do this, others don’t but might give you some info.
Feel free to PM if any issues come up and Welcome

Thanks a lot brother.

Couldn’t find any center caps that fit the new wheels so I found the closest thing, some aluminum cut outs, thoughts?

Not a fan of the wheels, but hey what do you know, it looks better.
Guess who passed inspection, this guy. If only you could see my thumbs
Oh happy day. Was this an inspection emmisions issue?
Hey Mo welcome,
I’m also new to this forum, and love it. I came here from AZ a while back and the difference is amazing. You even mention anything about a 3.0 on AZ and you have 15 posts telling you to sell the 3.0 and get a 1.8, 1 post of someone trying to help, then 10 more telling him he is an idiot.
Here you get solid, researched information and none of the biased BS. When it comes to the wheels, now that you added the Audi center caps, I think they look sharp.
