Which generation S4?
B8 it should be a fun project. I’m thinking of writing a build thread. It was in an accident so I have to fix that first( I own a auto body shop) and run the paperwork through the state. I bought this car with one purpose in mind, go fast! (And hopefully look good doing it)
Thats pretty cool. WestWest on here has turned his car into a decent track machine. Where abouts do you live?
Long Island, NY. I’m excited to learn what others have done, and show a few of my own tricks too
Awesome we should meet up some time in the spring. I live in Queens.
nice, any other members from the area?
I havent met anyone on here in the area. But i have a VERY large group of Audi people i routinely hang out with and go to shows/meets/runs etc.
Hi all,
Thought I’d introduce myself even before I’ve sorted a car for myself. I’m an engineer from Essex, UK
I used to drive an Audi TT 225 Quattro which was fully stock and in absolute mint condition. It was an awesome car and gave me a great love for Audi.
Now I have:
- VW Passat Wagon PD130 (daily driver)
- BMW 318ti (stripped out track car)
- Range Rover Classic 3.9 V8 (currently replacing the engine)
Currently going through the forum trying to suck up all the knowledge I can while looking for a suitable B5 S4 Avant. The aim is to make a project of it and probably spend more money on it than I should. As you can probably guess from my forum name, I want to keep it looking relatively standard on the outside while improving engine performance and vehicle dynamics. I’m hoping to use a fair amount of JHM and 034 parts though import duty is likely to restrict how much I can buy. Either way, I’m not looking to cut corners and buy cheap knock off parts so any build thread that follows will likely be slow on updates
As everyone loves photos, I’ve added pics of cars past and present, will add an S4 pic when I find the right one!

I’m new to the scene and local-ish to the Sacramento Valley. After countless hours of google searches of useless nonsense i ended up finding audirevolution which seems to be the golden ticket of forums.
I finally took the plunge into the S4 B5 after 2bennett inspected the car throughly and said it would be a good buy and I’m also a customer at JHM. I’ve been wrenching on multiple style vehicles over the years and I’m not a “I know it all and it’s true because I’ve read it on the Internet” type of person. I currently work as a machinist and TIG welder at a medical device co. at the moment.
I went with the ttv6 because it affordable, looks of a sleeper, tons of support, not bad mpg, and I can deal with the maintance.
BTW “hey my check engine light is on after I chopped my exhaust off, added a hot air intake, and some snake oil. OH, That’s the high proformance light it should be on.” J/K I’m bored.
Thanks
Hack.

the first S5 I ever saw was red and I thought it looked fantastic. It was the car Audi sent over for local dealers in Toronto to drum up interest.
Misano is a great colour normally reserved for the RS cars. Howd you get it on your S5, special order by someone? Looks great in the pics.
I have indeed seen more rs5 and rs7 in misano red than s5’s. It was not me who placed the order and I don’t know who did! I went to the dealer and asked for misano red and they had one available at the port in Halifax at that time so I immediately grabed it! I think I paid something like 900$ extra for the color. Obviously I could not choose any optons but it was equipped with dsg, sport diff all black interior with atlas carbon so who could complain!
Just wanted to say hello and finally join in after much creeping and collecting data. I am a shop foreman at a Vw dealer and worked at Audi for a while. Currently have a mk2 Gti awd I’m building for a buddy in my garage and a ls1fc I’m building for another buddy overseas. I recently finished and sold my b5 s4 ft21 car and miss it already. Hoping to find another one in the near future to start from scratch and just turn into a drag mule. Have a great day
