New Member Intro...

Nice! Ya I was pretty happy and enjoyed the shit out of my b5. My best was 12.4 at 117 I believe. Car was a very dependable example of fun safe reliable power. I miss it.

I don’t think I will be quitting my daytime job (yet) to become a pro-drag racer. I was thinking of doing the NoFly Zone next month, it would be about a 6 hour drive for me, in your opinion, is it worth the trek?

I had a blast. Cool to see all the really high powered cars and really a nice bunch of enthusiasts. Pretty laid back and its great getting to legally do all out “highway pulls”. I think it is worth the trip. 6 hours is a bit of a haul but I bet you have fun if you go.

Maybe reach out to blown67 on audizine and caravan. John is a super chill and nice guy. Maybe talk pinoys4 (J O) into bringing his nogaro out too!

good insight, I will reach out to them, thank you.

Hey, I am Andy I am new here although I have been doing my part in causing trouble as I now see Sorry about that. I was blind but now I see the light. To Sakimano My bad I thought you being a Jerk for no reason. I was wrong I understand now Oh and that you tube vid was on point thanks. I do not yet own an Audi but I will be purchasing an S6 soon and was turned onto this site after reading about v8a6’s info dump. I do not make choices lightly and before I purchase a car I want to know the good the bad the ugly. I have worked in the automotive industry I was a sales rep at a shop while I was in school I got paid 16% of the cost of the service on top of my commission if I did the work myself. I learned then that forums are a great place to get the truth about any vehicle as well as tricks to do a job quicker easier and better to prevent it from happening again. I know little about audis other than the 2.7 tt timing chain replacements made me a lot of money. I am a quick study and one I see a reason I am quick to adapt. Thank you for baring with me I am happy to be here I look forward learning all I can about these vehicles so I can be a productive and helful member of this community.

Welcome aboard, Andy!

We all went through our learning stage at one point or another, and around here the learning never stops. It is about 100 times harder to learn about modding these cars when you have to sift through all the misinformation and shit on other forums. AudiRevolution is like Coles Notes for learning about modern Audi performance modifications. No bullshit, just the straight facts.

And then on top of that you have a bunch of guys, who are the most knowledgeable crew in the world in these cars, who are willing to help people new to the scene, get up to speed.

As you are interested in the S6, keep an eye on my project thread. When it is complete, I hope to have a few different paths to increasing performance and reliability, for different budget levels. For now, save every penny you can, and when you get ready to make a purchase, we can talk about a solid plan for your S6.

Cheers!

I realize this and I already started saving a while back hopefully I will be able to buy the s6 free and clear. lol I have a g35 I may focus on for a bit while this project comes to fruition.

Good plan.

Just to give you an idea, I purchased my v10 S6 last summer, and immediately started with the project. By the time I am done I will have spent more on the modifications then on what I paid for the car.

Keep an eye out, and if you can find a car for cheap with some of the known issues that are outlined in the Info Dump, then that could be the prime candidate for modification. Even though the price of these cars is already low, I think they are going to drop lower, and become an absolute steal within the next few years.

I found one for 12995 which I already have the money for but 174k so I am Leary I was looking at maybe picking on a second engine I have see seen some salvage cars go for super cheap. the engines in these cars are still 7-9000 the salvage less than half that at times.

Sorry, I’m hijacking the member intro thread. Y’know what, please start a thread regarding this in the S6 section, or PM me when you are ready to go on the purchase.

Not sure about what you mean by your engine comment, as you can get a rebuilt engine with 0 miles on it from Audi for $8700 plus core charge.

Anyway, lets continue any discussion in the A6/S6 section

Andy go fuck yourself. LOL welcome to the forum man. We all love cars and work to stay a real tight community. We all got sick of the bs and waste of time on other forums. If you want to know the real scoop that’s what the guys on here are all about. You see member rating that is away to thank or to help rate members on there advice. We won’t let you make a mistake you don’t want to do. If we don’t know we will be straight about it. Glad you found us lots of good choices in the audi brand the S6 is getting a brighter future because you guys can band together and put all your energy in one positive direction. Together as a group you learn more.

What 2.7 tt timing chain replacements are you referring to? Did you mean timing belt kits?

The fish. Long time ember for those of you who don’t know fish he was very big part of the early b6 s4 growth and education. He was very active is keeping the bs… people were trying to spread from not getting recognized for what it was.

Make a build thread in the b6 section fish. Good to see you again

Hey good to cya Justin. Will make a thread and start documenting. Cheers

oh snap, blast from the past.

  1. welcome back
  2. how the hell did you find a nogaro avant with the blue suede seats?

You still down in AZ (arizona, not Audizoo)?

Welcome back, great looking car to pick up, even has the RSNE in the B6 which is a nice little improvement. Really looking forward to seeing you transform this car, it’s such a great starting point.

edit: I’m mbgt72 on other forums for reference.
