See here’s the thing. You take this entire forum as ‘hating on Tials’

Let’s really look at that. There’s a couple of Tial threads specifically. There’s a thread wondering about EPL’s tuning acumen. There’s a couple of Tial arguments here or there. And there’s a joke posted by snowtrooper here.

There are also another 500 threads and another 10,000 posts that have absolutely nothing to do with Tials or EPL or AMD or you or burningcoals. Take it easy. You’ll never have everyone liking the stuff you like.

Certain B5 owning members have talked a bunch of shit about the 4.2 in their brief time here, and even more on other forums. You think we should change the name of this forum to ‘fuck the 4.2’?

Bottom line is what you’re seeing isn’t ‘hate’. It’s an open discussion, and people are talking about facts. The thing is those facts are raised on other forums…you’re just not used to seeing this discussion run free this way since the AMD and EPL guys can’t call in the Audizine mall cops to delete posts or shut down discussion that shines a light on the weaknesses of the cars’ performance record. Get used to it! The whole forum was created to allow free and open discussion about all kinds of products for all kinds of Audis. Whining and calling everyone haters (people who have no stake in the game and see the cold hard truth) won’t get you anywhere. Posting killer numbers and proving the validity of the setup will shut everyone up, as you and Jason@AMD and burningcoals and DSHOT and everyone have been told. Hiding like Sexican? That’ll just throw more fuel on the fire.

Where to start…
Ok, first of all I was speaking in a satirical voice and now that it has been serious-ified I will address my real thoughts.
Tial turbos for the S4 have not had the best track record when you look back to the beginning. With that aside, we can all agree the build quality has gotten much better. As far as the 4.2 hating I will have to go count the threads and see who wins in the hate thread numbers. Though it has taken almost 8 years to get a 4.2 in the 11’s lol (excuses have been made, btw what is the difference between excuses and the facts? A lot of times the description of what happened gets written off as excuses). With that said in the incomplete sentence that came before this sentence, I have a new respect for the 4.2, especially in seeing what a stock airbox can do for the S6.
As far as Audizine goes, I don’t see it as this limp-dick discussion forum that I hear it described as. It is a place with some patience for kids who are new. It has some really cool builds going on as well as Data. BTW KillerS4 has started to post videos, nothing but FATS times but it has begun! We still discuss things, sometimes a bit more civilized, sometimes things are said with no grounds or education behind it, which is something you will find everywhere. Jason@AMD isn’t an advertiser, he throws no advertiser weight there and to my knowledge Tony doesn’t try to ban people or lock threads often. They have let multiple Jfonz threads run wild…
I know that proving is the only way to show, to anyone, that maybe this horrible person a lot of you think Jason is, isn’t a scam. I have dealt with scams, i know what it looks and feels like to be bent over. Jason shit talks, jason doesn’t know everything, jason has only, really built cars that kick ass on the High-Way. Is it weird that it seems to be the case they do well everywhere but the 1/4mile? Yes, and frankly, I know he wonders why as well. Does it mean his cars don’t make power…? I don’t think so, though I guess the trap speeds seem to be against me I hope this summer things change.
What I urge this website to stay aware of is, the difference between honest and respectful discourse AND slander. If this is truly a “Revolutionary” website, it will stay respectful, state facts while not needing to belittle someone in a non-intellectual manner.

Also, Sexican did not race a K03 car expecting to post it up and brag about it. Come on guys… seriously, we’re going to address a video of that nature. That’s disappointing to hear that you think it is him “hiding”. I think that is not at all what was happening there. He never once says anything that suggests he thought it was a GOOD kill or race or example of how fast his car is. If forums are such serious business, as they seem to be nowadays, lets be serious with what we address.

I didn’t say Sexican was hiding by racing a k03 car. I just thought it was a useless video. I don’t think he’s using the video to say ‘look how great my car is’.

He’s hiding by saying he won’t go to the dragstrip. That’s what I was referring to.

Anyway, you can write lots of stuff to win people over (although shit talking the 4.2 again in your post above is pretty fucking stupid) but until the Tial cars start to produce some good timeslips, people who use the 1/4 mile as a measuring stick (a.k.a. the grand majority of the enthusiast world) will remain skeptical. Jason being a douchebag on forums cements that skepticism.

as far as this Tial bashing, hopefully people realize the first part was in jest and only because I too think its absolutely pointless to build an s4 or any car to these levels we are seeing and then just want to brag about roll on times or dyno numbers (or post a thread about your expensive dyno graph). Tial as a turbo manufacture or modification company is absolutely one of the best in the world. The tial products have a place for sure, especially in times of difficult supply on other bolt on options. i do not however like certain peoples marketing that you can just slap either on and have an animal. the b5 s4 market is plagued by liars (as much customers as biz) and illusionists who fool people into thinking that its a simple formula and blammo, success. I obviously use tial parts in my own stuff.

on the whole AMD/EPL thing, they are not Tial, they are not even the same company, they do not make the turbos, they did not design the kits. Johhny Cohen (b5 s4 OG) created these and tial produced them, in the USA, thats a big deal to me because they are an honest and legit product that I have literally seen over the course of years go from concept to reality. when put on a car with supporting mods both are 100% capable as advertised as a TURBO. AMD is a legit little shop, people who bash them like they are against the man crack me up, leave that to APR. i have met Jason and dealt with him enough to know he is just a gearhead that is trying to do the best he can and make that fit inline with what his customers want. I wish i could go flog the shit out of every cool car I build, but I cant and neither can he. He also isnt going to force his customers into uncomfortable territory by asking to do it or asking them to. He has a mustang 4 wheel that basically takes up half his shop, it would take up about 75% of mine. I would kill for a dyno that I could sleep next to. If i was Jason you would probably see simulated 1/4 runs and weird simulation load data and it would be even more annoying than you think he is. truth. I think the focus needs to be on calling out people if you want to call anyone out. not the shop owner or biz that just assembles or tunes the thing. let them make claims about most powerful whatever. who cares, who knows in the end.

I dont know tony from EPL very well but from a business standpoint he has been nothing but 100% to me and businesses i have worked for. I, at a time was going to be his west coast/bay area dealer but STaSIS asked me not to. He is just a software tuner who was the first to embrace the tial market. Other people tune tial 650 and 770 kits. nothing is more important on any turbo / engine combo than good tuning.

I’m not shit talking. It took 8 years, until count and JHM pulled some stops out and made it happen. And it is on the far limits of the stock block. I’m not saying its a crap engine, I’m saying its about time.

I meant on the RS4 (that’s what Jon Cohen and AMD are building a TVS1900 and TVS2300 kit for. Engine has forged rods and pistons already. Thought you may have seen some info about what they’ve got planned.

We are talking about the same thing, the 4.2 fsi SC kits he is working on. I have seen the CAD stuff and the start of production protos and it looks promising, dont have much details yet. As far as the building of the engine. I think they should be modded from a high performance NA design to a high performance bossted design, primarily a different CR.

What kind of power are they hoping to be making? Any test mules out there yet?

I think you hav just said the same thing we have all ust said about Tail. The markting isn’t there and the prodiuct isn’t all bad. The results don’t seem to live up to the markting

The only thing I dissagree is on the AMD. While AMD might be able to weld end tanks on intercoolers and bolt up turbos thats about where the dudes tallents end. AMD has dug there own grave with allowing jason to speak. That guy has single handedly sunk his own ship by speaking out laoud. He has almost no respecyt from any on in the industry as he has bashed them. The only thing I see that guy doing is spending more time talking shit then backing up his bloated dyno sheets.

I had it tout with the guy several times and he comes across as a ego centirc looser that seems to have adopted the fact that his own work and efforts are not good enough so all you see him do is talk shit on eeryone that is much much more sucuessfull then him. AMD has talked so much shit and been so wrong on so manyt hings that there just isn’t anyyymore room for anyone to care about them and there shti talking when they post anymore

there’s no ‘they’ at AMD. It is jason isn’t it? And it seems to a lesser extent jonathan cohen is his ‘brain’ who designs stuff that jason sells…but I don’t think jason is an uppity shop worker fucking up AMD. He’s the whole company.

I have only seen him talk shit on a few occasions… Let’s not treat him like he is an Andy now. People are angry because he said the RS4 N/A didnt tune well (based on results from APR’s origional tune). And now he fully recognizes that with a tune it’s considerably faster… Is anyone else sick of this never ending conversation?

I will say that having only seen Jason post online, I had the feeling that he was a blowhard. After meeting him in person last year, and taking a shop tour, I had a different perspective. I have never had any work done or have any intentions of having any work done at AMD

He and tony are a great combination. And his work is phenomenal. The exhaust he made for me is gorgeous. His fit and finish is hard to beat… No one is close to perfect, except saki, of course.
