I discovered that I need a new right tail light today. There’s condensation in the reverse light portion of the housing. I checked eBay, and it seems there are taillights available for about 175+ shipping. Supposedly the lights are from Germany from the manufacture ULO. The ad says they are OEM. Is ULO the OEM manufacturer? Where can I get OEM lights? I do not want re-pops.

EDIT: has someone taken these apart before? Looking at a YouTube video, it looks like I can disassemble the housing. If I take apart and let it dry out, maybe I can silicone the seal to keep the water out? (assuming the rubber seal provides the only seal?).

I had a fault in the right rear tail light that came on during heavy rains. I followed a youtube video to take mine apart, but no water marks and nothing appeared to be obviously wrong. I put it back together–and sometime later the faults just stopped happening.

Now, a year later, I’m getting faults on my left rear tail light, unconnected to any rain. But when I physically check, all the lights are working. so I hope this one also mysteriously disappears. Strangely, these faults started the day I had my oil changed at a random garage. The mechanic said he reset the service indicator, and I can’t see how that could have caused the problem. Coincidence, right?
