New to me 2013 S6

I have been perusing the forum for the last couple of months. Have some good ideas on where I want my car to be, but figured I’d ask for updated opinions.

I recently purchased a 2013 S6 with 41k, every option except the luxury seats.

I plan to upgrade to the RS7 turbos, and already have RM motorsport catless downpipes. Purchased Merc Racing intercooler Core, and plan on getting the heat exchanger when it becomes available. Exhaust for these cars are stupid, and I actually like the sublte-ness of the car, although wouldn’t mind it shouting when wanted, so I figure I’ll just weld a cut-out or 2. Also I am wanting to methanol inject the car, for added security, but in reality, to help with the valve deposits that direct injection is known for on corn burners.

So the Questions.

  1. Tuning (biggest Q)
Who should I go with? Obviously looking at a full stage 3, though I will run the car at stock/ish levels most it’s life. . . just want that ability to go Ludacris. This would also include the Trans tune. . . All tunes would need the ability to be customized later on if I really start pushing and doing dyno sessions

2 Heard coils and plugs are an issue on this car. Is there a vendor that sells at least a coil kit?

3 I have had brief clutch slip issues, while pretty much going ZERO. it’s happened twice without being able to duplicate. Figured I’d get the flush and service done, and see if that and a tune fixes it. If not I’ll be trying to get ahold of Deka.

4 Is there an option in the Audi electronics/ software to do any small customization. Specifically, say when I turn the car to dynamic, the cutouts automatically open. Or when I do add methanol injection, have the ability reasonably to control it, without having to mount some dumb controller. I’m fine with that stuff in racecars, just don’t want it in this daily.

5 And any other pointers/tips y’all can give

Keep an eye on the oil filter for the turbos, they have a bad reputation for getting blocked and then the turbos burn out.

There’s someone that have done an updated filter to solve that.

Nice car choice. It’s a good hotrod for what it is.

As mentioned I would get the turbo oil filter screen replaced removed or install the JHM turbo oil filter line kit. I know two people local who did and it’s a slick unit.

The IC core is a good pick up as that intercooler unit stock that the S6 has isn’t super when you start pushing good power.

Tuning wise. It looks like most the usual big players have packed up and moved on. I do know JHM has an in house development car currently so that is a good thing due to the fact that they are also developing supporting parts as well. This includes turbo upgrades. Heat exchanger. The turbo oil lines exhaust I would imagine I know they have downpipes for several 4.0T cars. This fits with what you’re looking for as JHM ONLY will do ECU and TCU flashes on most new cars.

Coils and plugs are the staple to upgrade on almost any car your looking to mod up. No need to go crazy at this point. the coil packs are pretty good in the OEM trim. And plugs are not rocket science.

Clutch issues on the DSG unit in those cars they are known for issues. Not sure on clutch slip issues but they are known to have DSG unit issues. Did you ever get a code for the clutch slip
