Yeah carbon ftw. Or the dark matte black wood. The wood looks out of place with the sporty diamond seats !
The A7/S7’s track is wider, and I’ve no doubt the suspension tuning is slightly different as well.
Both handle well for what they are. Neither is ever going to be a track weapon.
I heard with sways and a few suspension mods it is much improved? Is that valid and any plans ?
There was a RS7 guy near me that tracked it with the APR tune on 100 octane. He put on sway bars and then got R888 tires. It helped but the C7 cars are big and heavy regardless so there is only so much that you can do.
It doesn’t need suspension mods for day-to-day driving IMO, and it’s never going to be a track weapon, so I can’t see myself going that route. That said, a bigger/stiffer rear anti-roll bar would no doubt improve its track performance.
I did a few track weekends each year with the S4, but am not really inspired to do the same with the S6. Only one in my plans this year, and it’s more of a “fun run”. A buddy (who owns a GT-R and a 993TT) is planning to run his E63AMG, and I’ll run with him for some grins…
Hat is helpful. I did do sways on one of my previous cars and it was a nice improvement. Perhaps you could source some rs6 sways or the like and put them on. I still need to find one and push a little harder my test drives were more boring with maybe one on ramp about 2 years ago.
Back to the s7 vs s6 bit, do you think the slightly wider track in the s7 helps? I’ve read conflicting reviews on the two handling, they were like the s6 feels smaller and handles more agile but then I have heard the s7 feels more planted. Interesting to hear when they are near identical other than minor changes in the rear?
Anywho, how long before warranty is out and you add a tune

The slightly wider track is basically offset by the slightly higher weight, IMO.
