After lurking around this forum and enjoying some of the ‘banter’ for a wee while I thought it was time to pipe up and say hi.
I’ve owned my RS4 B7 Avant for 3 fantastic years now and loved every single minute of it. I’ve always had fast/sporty cars over the years but for me nothing comes close to ticking so many boxes as an RS4 Avant, especially now with its latest performance enhancements.
It originally came with a very high spec, to which I’ve added various little bits every year to make it just the way I want it and to keep my interest/enjoyment level at the max. Not much else I want to do to it now just enjoy it for many more years to come. I’ve got some pics if anybody’s interested.

- Yes again. I had a PES M112 charger (with which I had great fun!) for a while till I saved up for the overly expensive but utterly awesome TTS.
and yes, Scottish through and through. I’m only about 50 miles from all those thieving lowlife scumballs. The burnt out RS4 is only the tip of an iceberg to what those vermin have been doing and getting away with. There’s another big Audi been nicked/burnt yesterday by the same lot too.

I think the Nobel is 1million EUR, so that’s pretty cool. I think I’d take that and buy the RS4, sell the Noble. Then go back to work the next day because a million bucks is not worth much these days!
Haha, aye I’m lucky enough to also have a Noble M400 as my summer toy. Had it 2 years now but might sell it this year as I’m fancying a campervan instead. :o

Would you care to expand more on the Noble? I’ve always had a soft spot for them and often thought of picking one up. My two dreamish cars for years have been a 996 turbo or a noble (or rossion q1).
I’ve talked to a couple guys about the noble’s but its always nice to have another perspective. My biggest issue is I drive quite a bit, and I’m a golfer. So logging a bunch of miles and needing space for golf clubs doesn’t make it easy to find a true nimble sports car in anything other than a second car.
Anyhow, hope you enjoy it here and I think we all look forward to hearing more about the TTS RS4 and the noble!

Bangoman; they’re not even as high-standing as chavs, they are low life, inbred work shy wasters. Apparently, according to one of their many facebook ‘brags’, they believe what they are doing is okay because they are not the ones nicking the cars, they are ‘buying’ the cars from desperate junkies (for as little as £20!!) who break in to folks houses for the keys! After the wanks have finished thrashing the car around the city for a few days they usually burn them. They even go as far as saying that its okay to do all this because “the cars are usually insured anyway” and the owners will simply be re-imbursed by their insurers.!!! Seriously. The cops/authorities seem to be doing very little to deter the little bastards and I can’t see whats going to happen in the near future to change things and put a stop to this.

Maddog; Love both my cars, pretty much my (realistic) dream garage. The only other car in the distant horizon that I would like to own sometime is a GT3RS but that’s a long way off as my RS will be here for a long while yet. The Noble would be totally impractical as an everyday car and I think you would struggle to get a set of golf clubs in(I don’t play so not sure how much space you need exactly). It would definitely need to be a second car. Its a pretty special car all round with levels of handling and performance barely matched by even the quickest so-called supercars and they only cost £60k when new! They don’t depreciate much if at all and are not really that expensive to run either. I recently had a friend (who’s owned a string of Ferraris and now runs a R8 V10) out in the Noble for a blast and he reckoned it was easily the fastest thing he’s ever been in. Mines had quite a few upgrades with bigger brakes, uprated suspension, exhaust, remap etc and now puts out 476bhp (420 is stock) but it only weighs around 1150kg. One of the magazines (EVO I think)tested an M400 at 0-60 in 3.2 and 0-100 in 7.8. Believe me it feels even quicker! If you can find a good one go for it, you wont regret it!

More deets on the red Transporter Van - is it the legendary 5 cyl PD TDI? Shortage of quality vans here in Canada. I rented some petrol powered E250 thing and it sucked fuel - a $100 rental became $200 because of the gas. Nothing like a diesel Transit or T5!

It’s my work van a VW T5 2.5 TDI 130. Bought it new in 2007. Its a great piece of kit in which I have done 75000 happy miles! Returns about 35mpg or 22 mpg when towing my trailer. Latest gameplan is to sell the Noble(!!) and buy another T5 (180ps 4 motion )to convert into a camper!

Didn’t know you could get the T5 in a 4motion - that would be an epic camper van. Who needs to pay ridiculous Alpine chalet rates with an AWD camper van. Interesting it uses the Haldex system (a la TT) but you can get a locking rear diff as well. Srs bzns. The biturbo TDI is pretty cool too!
