Nice test result for the RS5 in Motor Trend this month

0-60 MPH in 4.0 seconds
1/4 mile in 12.5 @ 110.7 MPH

Not bad for a bone stock car on (likely) 91 octane
.

LOL it’s just as fast as the camaro zl1, which is RWD and has an extra 130hp.

that camaro is weird

the camaro SS is always good for a laugh at the dragstrip I go to. They’re always running high 13s. Makes you feel like a superstar lining up against another 420 hp car in your RS4, then you put 4 buslengths on him. The one day in April I was getting real cocky out there, asking new Mustang GT guys to run (crushed the one guy who did), then I went after an E93 M3 (cab) and crushed him, Beat a C63 handily a couple of times., beat a B8 S4 with GIAC tune. I was getting way ahead of myself and then got annhillated by a GTR. Back to reality lol.

Have you seen any IS-Fs at the track and if so how do they run? A buddy is shopping for one and on paper it should have me beat pretty well.

No option for manual…whole bunch of fail on Audi’s behalf…EPICALLY.

Stokimano! Not everyone can drive like you :stuck_out_tongue:

Great question

There has never been an isf there in all the times I have been…until last time. Mistro and I were there as was Axel.

I don’t know what he ran because it was pretty busy and with staging etc I just never saw him run

Maybe the other guys might know??

Car & Driver had the RS5 doing a 4.0 0-60 and 12.5 @ 112 quarter mile in that 2011 comparo. Now they have the S6 doing a 3.7 and 12.1 @ 110. How can the S6 beat the RS5 off the line like that? Chalk it up to different conditions??

By having an extra hundred foot pounds of torque.

Also they tested the two cars on different days and neither was at a dragstrip so we know it is likely to have been a graded road of some sort.

Ya must be some sort of grade or rolling starts? Nevertheless as long as C&D is consistent with ever car they test is what really matters

no consistency whatsoever. They test anywhere they can find a long straightaway at any random track they happen to be at. They don’t have a test facility.
