Axel, I love that car.

And Joe, that detail and pics turned out great.

I need to get some better pics after my minor conversion, but that’ll be springtime probably. Anyhow, figured I’d do a bit of the progression my car has seen.

(^Saki, you’ll be glad to know, when I do my crank pulley seal, I’m taking it to my paint guy to sand down the front headlights so they’re not so dark. He’s going to sand it down to almost clear and then respray a clear)

lol I was about to post bitching about it again lol.

By far the best looking B7 sedan right there. Absolutely perfect. Something about the single tips on a B7 rear end just looks better. I think it shows off the wider tails and makes the ass end look wider.

Great looking S4’s, love maddogs rear shot of the DTM bar very hot

Lookin good all around! Maddog I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen pics of the exterior of your car, very hawt!

Wow that’s a very beautiful S4 you have there. I was wondering how you managed to get an rs4 grille in the DTM bumper. I was looking to do the same thing. Was it hard?

Thanks for the compliments guys. I’ve had her for a while, I kinda forget how unique she is from time to time. Not that I don’t appreciate her, but if I went to another platform, I know I’d kick myself for leaving such a unique car.

For the RS4 grill in the DTM, I followed Fly300kts DIY which involves hacking up a RS4 grill and A4 non-sport grill. I already had the RS4 grill, so I bought a cheap regular grill in the classifieds, then got my hack saw out. I didn’t go to quite the lengths he did, but it still turned out pretty good once installed.

Here’s the link:

There’s also a company that sells knock-off RS4 grills to fit the DTM, but I just hadn’t seen any good quality pics of them or heard too many people who had bought them. So I decided to go this route and use that as a backup.

Hi, I figured I’d make my first post here a pic post. My mostly stock B6

Summer mode:

Winter Mode

http://www.eurodrivers.ca/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4020&d=1323310433

It’s pretty obvious I’m not a photographer.

would have been cool to have the exact same angle, same light, same photo but in winter. Maybe try that when you get some snow?

Car looks great by the way. I like the pics. Frigging AVUS wheels look SOOOOO good. Wish they were lighter.

damn CKS…that car infuriates me when I see it. I searched HARD for a silver or dolphin B7 S4 Avant. Settled for a sedan instead. Now it’s supercharged??? WOW.

A local guy got an 07 S4 Avant in light silver just like yours, and had it on coils, with a nice BBK and 19lb BBS RE wheels…only to have it stolen a month later.

haven’t been on the site long, but here is my B7 S4 right after a 30 hour long detail that was extremely grueling. It is very hard to get a black car defect free >:( Car has self-gutted pre-cats on stock downpipe, FI catback, and JHM 93 tune, although in the pics below it still has stock catback.

Next mod is new wheels, leaning towards TSW crofts, and hopefully lightweight JHM rotors.

I love this picture after all my hard work:

license plate ruins front-end :frowning:

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7156/6395625263_0a3d814d03_z.jpg

also just removed the V8 badges before taking the pics, I think it makes for a less cluttered side view, and brings less attention from douchebags.

Car looks great, those details are a pain, but well worth it for the reward. . . until the first rain! (hehe)

Couldn’t help but laugh a little at that, it reads as if the car said “EFF this, I’m getting rid of these shit pre-cats!” and just spit them out the back or something.

Also, CKS, I always forget you have the audio stuff. Very cool, wouldn’t mind seeing more or for ya to make a thread (I’m guessing you may have one but I’m probably just an idiot and don’t remember, we don’t all have Saki’s memory of forum posts  )

TSW nurburgrings are really light. Only about 19 lbs or something. Can get them in gunmetal.

Blackout grille is cool. Definitely gunmetal wheels on that car will look great. Try to go 18" and lightweight, but something that fills the wheel well out with 8.5 and a nice aggressive offset like 30-32 or something.

The VMR wheels aren’t bad, are really reasonable and look great in gunmetal. Get a look at maddog’s car above for VMR710 in gunmetal (I think). Heavy though at 23-24 lbs . The VMR708 wheel can’t be beat for looks (according to me) in gunmetal 18x8.5 would be great. Nicely replicating the OEM RS4 wheel look. About $800 for a set in gunmetal. But they’re 25.5 lbs.

I’m not big on dark wheels on a black car, although I think the gunmetal with mirror face would look pretty good. What I want more than anything is a high quality RS4 rep that is also lightweight, but that isn’t happening…

Boring and totally stock appearance.
