Oil Separator Drain Hose found pinched

Could this be the cause of the excess oil in my intake? I’ve researched the threads about the Oil Separator diaphram, however I’ve never seen anything on the drain tube being pinched between the manifold and engine valley before. The hose is very soft at the pinch point.

For reference, I bought approx 1 month ago 1 owner S6, 91,000 miles. Nothing to indicate the intake had ever been removed.

the whole PCV system on this car leaves a lot to be desired and is probably the root cause of 75%+ of the problems on this engine. : /

All hoses must be clear, unkinked, uncracked, the PCV itself has to be fully functional and working/unclogged. If it’s realistic for you, it’s a great idea to replace all the hoses and tubing along with the separator if possible.

There is another thread about intake removal that shows a picture with the same damage from user CStarkey15:

I removed the hose now that I have a replacement and here is it in profile. The replacement below it:

So… one more item fixed…

I also bought a new diaphram for the PVC, but my old one was not torn… While I was in there it just made sense.

Shocking there isnt an aftermarket fix for this. RX built a unit for first gen Ecoboost direct injection engines as they suffer the same fate as every other DI engine.
Check out RX (if they are even still around) and use a dual inlet / check valve remote oil seperator with clean side intake.

Instant fix, way less BS under the hood.
The aftermarket for these engines is very weak.
