OMFG Im never selling the car

So Im still on the stock Dp’s that are super small but the JHM ECU tune really wakes up the car. Its sold to drive the acceleration isn’t fake and the car is super eager to drive. At this point I feel that the car is WAY better then it was ever stock.

Till today. The ECU Im using has to go back as its just for testing and I don’t get to keep it. Its a cloned ECU I still have my stock one sitting on the kitchen counter. . I will be getting the tune now for sure as Im sending my ECU out to jhm tomarrow. The only issue is eairler today I got to test a TCU tune with my ECU tune.

OMFG game on. The JHM Automatic stage 1 tune is fucken crazy awesome. It shifts fast and firm. The gear is there in no time. Now the power is constant even on the shifts and out of the shifts. Ill always love a manual car but I think that the autobots are now something to be adord and loved as a possible sport addition.

My car kinda feels like my dads 64 chevelle when it shifts. You expect to hear the wheels chirp. Its not what you expexted. When you go WOT the shifts are fast and the car gets pushed forward like it would with a true shift kit.

There is one serious issue in all this and thats that Im not going to be able to take out the ECU and TCU tune…sorry jhm guys I might not be able to take the parts out as Im not sure when Ill be able to stop driving and make my way back home.

I don’t care what people think about the 3.0 Im now enjoying the car more and its really fun to drive. The extrra performance really brings more to the game. Its fun and fast well faster then most.

After the Dp install Im going to the track even if it is 110deg outside

AWESOME!!! How does the power feel in the low rpm range? That’s the only thing that is still lacking on my car which is just a limitation of the torque converter. Does it come on sooner? Right now it comes at about 3200 rpm

your soooooo money. I just stopped to fill her up with 93 as its still on 91. I check Audirevolution from my phone quite a bit hehehe… If I have to take it back I might as well see all of what she has but Im seriously not going back anytimes soon.

As for the tcu program man I cant get over it. The Tq converter locks up a little lower but the count said that would take quite a while to work out and it would be a free update for those that have the TCU program. It locks up quicker on and off shifts above 2800 seems like it mght be closer to 2500 when it starts now.

The catless Dp’s are going to really set off the rest of the car… Ill check back in a few hours after I fill her up and spin her around more…

Just what I wanted to hear. I looked up how torque converters work, I imagine it would take quite some tweaking to make it come on earlier, even 25-2800 is a huge improvement, 1800 would be perfection but I don’t know if that’s possible.

I just shot JHM a email today regaurding the ECU we talked about meistah, didnt have Keatons email or I would have sent it right to him. In all seriousness though this is completely awesome. I’m torn because I dont want to read anymore because I am getting so jealous and on the other hand I love hearing how awesome it is! Lol

I cant wait to feel the low end wake up and finally be able make something out of stop light to stop light “races”

A few months ago a Subaru pulled up next to me, seamed pretty stock but figured what the hell, we both left the line and lets just say I was waiting behind him on the on ramp :-

ITs great to hear. I think we all need to realize that these cars are n/a and much unllike turbo cars where you can just turn up the boost the n/a cars take a special tweek to get right. The thing about german cars is how there low on Tq and even a good tune can’t change the dynamics of that. Ive noticed a great amount of TQ gain but I think most guys thinking about the tune will have to be “in tune” with there car as hp isn’t felt so much as its seen.

What has most people truned off of the tunes is how bad the other companys push there dyno sheets… In the end the dyno sheets never seem to translate to real street performance.

Still gettting a jhm tune will change your mind on what is possible. Stil I think its impornant for anyone to make sure there car is in good working order or even the best tunes won’t do much. I think i read where keaton said you need to make sure your coil packs are up todate I would say also look for the updated spark plugs as well.

ok so after you get all JHM modded up. I say we all come out and take 1 good night and try to find at least 1 subaru for you to race.

I found a guy that will do a custom exhaust for me for 250, which is awesome. 2.5 piping with an x pipe to my magnaflows. And installing my s4 brakes hopefully next week. Getting prepared for all this power ;D
