Over the Winter Projects, changes, upgrades, etc. What's going on in the garage?

Just thought I’d start a thread where everyone can post up what’s going on over the winter with their Audi… Hell, you’re free to talk about any projects…

Myself, I sent in my turbo for the new PTE 66mm turbine wheel upgrade, and was forced to do the new air cooled ceramic ball bearing center because they phased out the old Garrett centers. Getting some bigger injectors and fuel pump to open up my options to E85/E98 as well. I’ll be testing the first prototype 24V vr6 billet 034 fuel rail for them, should have that next week, I’m pretty excited from the spy shots Javad sent me. Testing some pretty high end ignition components in conjunction with my vipec, to hopefully get rid of that nasty missfire we were getting at over 30 psi. Thanks to 91, a new set of light wheels so I can retire my 28lb b6 s4 wheels. Still trying to pick a rubber, but may stick with the nitto nt01’s. Got the DSS axles already on the car too. That’s it right now off the top of my head, just some small changes to address some issues we had. What does everyone else have going on?? Pics will be nice, I’ll post some up soon!!

quite the list there, excited to see the results… I’m gonna gut the A6 and start modding the Jeep

I didn’t plan on doing anything to the audi until I got a half good pass out of it, but the down town got me itching to make some changes to help address issues…
I drive a 2010 4 door wrangler daily… It’s my second one… This one when I got it, I think I must have thought I lived in Colorado or something. I did a lift, 35" duratracs, fender chop, bumper chop, sway bar discos, skid plates (oil pan, evap canister, lower control arms, etc…), C gussets, steering dampener, 5.13 gears, diff covers, and so on and so on… Needless to say, I haven’t don’t much wheeling at all… I always end up focusing more on the fast car… Don’t get me wrong, the jeep is fun as hell, I just have no place close to wheel and no friends who do it… Here is a little video of me climbing some small rocks at the beach… What jeep do you have?

no plans yet…but piggies and jhm 93+ tune for my RS4 should be soon/spring

goal is 12.4x in that guise. Will be tough… My best stock tine was 12.94 without any good launches to speak of (all 1.91 to 1.95)

need a lesson launching the rs4…much too easy to spin too much even at 3200 rpms

Overhaul the suspension/drivetrain. Trans needs to be rebuilt because of the 3rd gear syncro, all new 034 controls arms are being replaced, both front wheel bearings, 034 strut mounts, H&R coilovers are a possibility but I may just replace my stock shocks with Bilsteins if funds don’t permit, JHM LW front rotors, Rebuild the front calipers, stainless lines all around, paint the calipers black, and get my OCD on by re-painting the inside of the wheel wells.

Get mine back up and running and doing many more modifications. Doing some work on my old drag truck upgrading the fuel system. thats about it.

Hope this isn’t too big of an embarrassment. I have a 3.0 A4 and realize that its woke up quite a bit with the exhaust I was allowd to try out from JHM. I would like to add I thought that was cool as hell of JHM that i got to check out and feel the difference in the exhaust before I bought it. The bad part is I had to take it back off LOL.

For me full exhaust on the 3.0. Looking into getting some sort of ram air for it.

Well it summer here, but hopefully and engine install.

I’m going to start a thread in the General discussion of people Off-Road trucks, seems people have a few.

Haha, I’d be embarrassed myself, I’d almost feel obliged to purchase it afterwards lol. Whatever though, definitely cool as shit of them to let you try it out, that’s unheard of.

Very nice man… Just curious, does JHM have an E85 tune available yet? If I still had my 2.7 stage 3, I’d highly consider running E85, and having a tune I can switch to run regular pump gas If you aren’t near any E85 stations… I see E85 becoming a lot more readily available over the next year or two. What tires you have on that bad boy? Might want to consider putting some better rubber to solve the spinning issue… Those are torquey fuckers with small turbos on them, good rubber will definitely help you utilize your power better. Nitto NT01’s are pretty solid, a little scary in the rain, so If it’s a full daily car, I’s probably look for something else.

Sounds good, I don’t really “off-road” though, I’m a poser… I would love to, but I don’t have time or a convenient location… I was supposed to hit up Rausch Creek off road park this year, never happened. I have too much I need to finish with the audi… That, work, wedding planning, etc… No time for my Jeep… It def breaks necks around NYC, way more than my audi ever did… For some reason all sorts of different people love jeeps lifted on huge tires and all… It’s my daily driver now, work is giving me a 2011 jeep liberty, so ill probably waste miles on that log of shit instead, and drive the wrangler less.

I think it looks more badass than the Audi myself too… lol

Your thinking of the wrong RS4, Saki has a B7 4.2 V8

Your jeep does look pretty bad ass, The 4x4’s that my parents had/have snap necks everywhere it goes

Thanks man… Oh I didn’t realize, I’m sure the V8’s are torquer as shit too, I thought I remember reading somewhere that with a ECU flash they make like 375+ft lbs… and something nice like 450hp, are those figures accurate? I bet they are fun cars, they are sexy that’s for sure.

Funny you mentioned E85, I’ve been wanting the same thing as well. Be nice to switch over to e85 with a flick of a switch. I asked them about this at one point, they have had requests but theres not enough supply of e85 in the area to do test with it, otherwise im sure it would have been done long ago. Maybe we should ship them a 55gal barrel of e85 to play with to get it done ;D
