P0023 - "B" Camshaft Position - Actuator Circuit/Open Bank 2

I got this a couple years ago, and now it came back–and then disappeared after I cleared the codes. Any ideas?

P0023 - “B” Camshaft Position - Actuator Circuit/Open Bank 2
P0024 - “B” Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 2

I believe this was the part: camshaft solenoid valve, 06E109257P. But last time we just cleaned the connector and it went away. Does anyone have the part no for the connector?

Battery regulator:
02272 - Static (Quiescent) current stage 1
02273 - Static (Quiescent) current stage 2
02276 - Static (Quiescent) current stage 5
02277 - Static (Quiescent) current stage 6

I should add that the code popped up when I was having a strange battery-drain issue while parked for a prolonged duration. All sorts of weird codes popped up that disappeared after I recharged the battery and cleared the codes–except the P0023.

A couple weeks later, when the battery issue was resolved, I cleared the codes again and it hasn’t come back. Also, the car drove well and showed no signs of misfires or hesitation the whole time. But i think I’d like to replace the connector when I have the chance.

I’m convinced this is an electrical problem because it is so intermittent. Still searching for the part no. for the electrical connector. Any ideas?

If you clear the code does it come right back… If not then it could be either the connector or the actual actuator itself.

You can open a log and then just move the wires and see if you see a glitch in the logs. That would kinda end help draw a good line on where you are at.

After I cleared the code the first time, it stayed clean for maybe 500 miles. Cleared it again and it’s still fine. Regardless, the engine runs smoothly at all RPMs, so the valve timing must be fine, right?
