P1573 - Left Eng. Mount Solenoid Valve, Open circuit

Does anyone have info on this code? I searched around and apparently the solenoid valve is different than the engine mount?? I first saw this last November, but the car still seemed to run smoothly. However I’m getting a few other things done now so I thought I’d look into this as well.

Sounds like a faulty engine mount to me. It could be a poor connection of the harness or a short but it’s not toooo uncommon to have to replace an engine mount in these from what I’ve seen.

Here’s a C6 with the same issue.

what’s the risk of R&R’ing the stock high tech mount with an old school low tech hockeypuck?

As far as I know, this is the first car I’ve owned where even the engine mounts have (useless?) moving parts…

What are the actual symptoms of a failing engine mount?

I just got the car back with new bushings all around the front suspension. The car seems to drive and handle really smooth. Shouldn’t I feel some extra vibration from the left Eng Mount?

Clear the code see f it comes right back.

Inspect the mount replace if you have it in the budjet if not just put in a resistor in the plug. If the mount looks good you should be fine

There are so many buffers already built in you generally won’t feel too much unless its just a disaster. Most of the mounts are not too bad and as long as its not blown out you should be fine. Generally the bigger worry is the motor movement when the mount is bad.
