Here’s marzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzszszszszs build thread on ozaudi:

he references the failure but does not provide detail. Which makes sense, since he wants to sell the pes supercharger. Lol.

straight swop into da b7 right?
This is in the wrong section. Should be in the A/S/RS5 section.
Wow that guy has spent stupid money on that car just to have it blow up. You can see that cylinder 5 is screwed. Otherwise the engine from the outside does look a hell of a lot like the RS4 BNF.
There is a local to me guy with a S5 that has the new whipple PES blower. He had both of the M90 PES kits before and now has the whipple. I am trying to get him to take it to the dragstrip in a few months. It should be interesting to say the least. Very nice guy but he made a few points to me while I did some work on his car. It seems like most of the B8 S5 guys are coming from the A5OC forum. They are not the same guys from the older B6/7 S4s that had to deal with PES and others so they just don’t know about PES’s history.
Considering that was 2 days between charges, I think my phone is doing just fine (Samsung Note 3)
If this is the guy, it’s sad to see so much put into a car only to be brought down by a shit product that shouldn’t be on the market.

I just read through the entire build thread…
Man… the guy really went ALL OUT with modifying the car. So impressive until you see the PES unit appear on the scene, the fatal misstep.
I only hope that the guy swallows his pride, and posts all the details of what happened. Right now, he seems to be silent. If I read things correctly, the car was being tuned by someone other than PES. I guarantee that the Tuner and PES are both going to be pointing fingers at each other, or maybe some other third party. With PES’ history, I know where I would bet the blame lies.
There might be some partial settlement in the works, to buy his silence. But I can’t see PES laying out $25k. Will be very interesting to see how things go. What a mess. Can’t help but feel sorry for the guy. It was a beautiful machine.
What didn’t he do to that car… Euro seats, beautiful engine bay… fuck, what a waste
And that PES unit is butt ugly…
$25k…lol, PES doesn’t even have a building to operate out of at this point in time.
hahahahaaa
PES’ final offer…
$25
and a 20% discount off the next PES supercharger kit
Thought I remember seeing a thread on here, Marzz came and updated what happened.

X2
id burn the fuckin building down if that happened to me. shit happens when trying to make power but that is just robbery.
LOL, they don’t have a BUILDING…haha
HAHAHAHA,hahaha.
This goes back years and years. We have had guys like that are in this thread warning these guys for years. Saying don’t do it don’t get the kit but you see how this guy was pushed to get out there with his car. PES is one of a few shops that knows nothing about supercharging Audis. There are always these company’s that give people sweet deal on kits and try to turn them loose on the forums to push sales. We see it over and over. We keep seeing bull shit reviews by people that have been compensated with a kit so in return they will give a review. We all want great performing cars the only real way to have that happen is for people to stop being the ginnipig for a discount. I just remember and keep seeing people get frustrated at all of us trying to warn them about not getting PES or other garbage kits from shady company’s. This is how it ends for most of them.
lol touché!
When I first got my car, I almost went the PES route. Very glad I didn’t jump on that grenade.
This thread is what had me almost on the hook:

Here’s the sales pitch I was given back then:
"Thanks for the inquiry.
To answer your questions about the RS4 supercharger kit :
The liquid to air intercooled PES kit runs $12,995.00 Labor to install the kit is 14 hours @ 105.95/hr
The methanol injection kit is $1,200, and requires 4.5 hours to install. We can also add a custom flush mount controller in the ash tray area, which looks amazing for $125.00.
Adding all of this together and including 2 dyno sessions, and tax ( parts only ) we are at $17,645.00 or so.
Also, not sure if you have thought about, or already installed exhaust on the car :
-MILLTEK EXHAUST : The valved non-resonated cat back exhaust is $2799.00 with oval tips, install is 2.5 hours or $265.00 Downpipes with high flow cats are $2199.00 and 10 hours to install ( $1059.50).
EXHAUST ON THE RS4 WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. PROMISE.
We talk with PES almost daily, and their current run on the kits is getting sold very quickly. If we wanted to jump on these parts, I would suggest that we do so in the next two weeks. Otherwise I anticipate that the kits will be back ordered thru the fall.
In my honest opinion :
This is not a small amount of money by any means.
However, based on the results with ****’s car. I think the performance does justify the cost. I have driven ****'s RS4 at the track a few years ago, and while the performance was more than adequate, the naturally aspirated engine suffered greatly from atmospheric loss. After installing the SC kit, I was floored. My expectations were very very high, and the car exceeded them all. The kit made an additional 100 horsepower at the wheels, and there is more to come with updated tuning, and further dialing in the meth kit. The resulting changes have transformed this car to supercar territory. The sound, instant power, and ability to boil all 4 tires ( R compound !) from a standstill are breath taking. The supercharged acceleration is addictive. Once you get your foot into the throttle, you want to keep it there, and further chase the excitement, and acceleration, and exhilaration. The only thing I can compare this car to was the feeling I had first driving a Ferrari 360 Modena. Please excuse me for all of the dramatic references, but ****’s RS4 project has left me very inspired.
About us :
Not sure what you know about our shop, or our philosophy and approach to maintaining and modifying these vehicles.
We are very very confident in our skill set, our staff, and our equipment. All of our technicians and advisors are factory trained, and certified. We have all the specialty equipment, and diagnostic tools to service these vehicles at the highest standards. We feel that at any price, there is no better value for what we can provide our clients with. This company was started by a few of us who met at local dealerships. We are all passionate about VW, Audi, and Porsche brands. We drive, race, and love these cars. We have established our protocol and business practices from the ground up to ensure that we can perform the best work possible. Including paying our technicians a salary rather than a flat rate, to ensure that they have the opportunity to do their best work on each and every car they see.
These SC kits require a very talented skill set for proper installation. And we have literally written the book on the installs. We make every effort to maintain a clean, and factory-style look for the kits, and the meth injection. PES leans on us to help them further develop their product, and as such we are one of a handful of certified PES installers.
Let me know what you think."
And this, kids, is why so many people spend so much time holding vendors to a high standard. I (and many others) never would have seen PES/VF as the sham kits that they are if it weren’t for those that seek the truth
