Pocono Raceway audi club of NA track day

So this was my first trip to the track, I think I’m hooked.
Tires and brakes coming soon after the engine build is done.
New Found Respect for the NASCAR guys, fast straights and late brakes
BTW those porsche cup cars are fast as f@ck.

good stuff. What were you driving?

Looks like srs bizness. Thanks for sharing! Looking to get your B5 to the front of that pack?!

No driving for me… I rode in with my buddy in his silver z06, which is insane.(I drove it home)
I went around with one of the instructors in another z06, pictured in red.

I doubt my car could touch the front of that pack, lol. Gtr’s, gt3’s, gt2’s, r8’s, supercharged s5’s rs4’s… then there is me talking about my b5 build.

what blower was on the s5?

other than tts, they’re very ‘touchable’

one guy had a pes and one guy had the apr setup.
I was asking them how the pes car was pulling on the apr car, to stir the pot of course.
They told me in track scenario the cars were fairly equal and that it all boiled down to who has the most balls/brakes in the corners.
They also agreed that they were of comparable skill level as drivers and would pass each other frequently.

neat. Pes…god damn. They’re like ots apr b5 s4 kits from 2005 on pump gas…only they cost 50 percent more and are on cars that start with 100hp more than a stock b5. Disastrous.

that blower is so small that it barely adds anything to an rs4 or an s5 with tune/exhaust

I went over to check out this b5 a4 that was ripping pretty hard.
me- What you you have done to the car?
a4 owner- Just a small turbo upgrade.
me- seeing slicks then looking through the window I see a fully gutted interior, drift e-brake setup- Nice what turbo are you running.
a4 owner- gt28rs
me- Ah, so you have rods then? And what’s with the e-brake?
A4 owner- yeah. Actually this used to be a drift car, it was converted to rear wheel drive. It’s now awd again.

The guy in a ttrs came over and was wondering the same as me since he had just gotten blasted on by this a4 for 20 min, lol.

Josh can’t drive…

Lol, the funny thing I used to drive tractor trailers. Now I just need to learn to drive a racecar.

I drive a tractor too (my 2.0T B8 A4 Avant sounds like a tractor)

Yeah, track days are addicting… There a guy around my way that is actually putting together race team. He always tracked his cars, but then he picked up a cup car and is now selling many of his cars to put the team together. If I mention the cars he was selling you would be like “WTF…?!?” He was probably there that day with one of his cup cars.

Quick question, was the APR kitted car a red S5 with a CT plate?

I can’t remember what plate it had, may have been taped over, but it was red, shown in the 3rd pic down of op.
Big dude that owned it too.

OK. I confirmed that it was the car from CT that you saw.

nice, those guys were pretty cool. They were definitely having a good time out there.
