This is the kind of thing I absolutely destroyed John for when he used to work at Stratmosphere, so this is just a great case of pennance biting him in the ass (on EuroAddiction he was a loose cannon, constantly lying and talking shit about competitor products to scare people off, and I was a moderator)

I know how you feel about John and I don’t have the history so I can’t comment as much about the past as you but my dealings with him at Strat and after he left have been outstanding…

That TAG guy is a retard for saying stock is better than the roc as we have loads of data showing the roc helping vs awe vs stock vs just about all of them. That’s when you know ‘this guy is never to be trusted’

Just a note: 1FastS4 and Austin both had the AWE intake on their cars with their 11.xx runs…
Also, this could be one explanation for Pete’s dads car not running the way it should. I don’t have any data to back up my claim, but and I have a feeling my car is not running the way it should either. I have the USP intake though… I hope to get a few runs in this weekend and take it from there.

Well aware of what 1fast and Austin ran… They are still slower than Ryan, Bear, Imola, and myself and they are running the almighty DSG tune, aren’t they? Granted the DA’s were worse which is huge for these cars…
Review some of Tsivas and Pete’s test on open element intakes vs closed… I also did some testing at the strip and via data logging, the open air elements are better…
Just read that thread this morning and thought the exact same thing. He didn’t just say that the common denominator was the Roc-Euro intake but went on to say that the AWE intake fixed it and that the customer said it felt more powerful with the stock intake…right… because we all know butt dynos are great at measuring differences between intakes.

It’s unfortunate that many legitimate threads over there often get hijacked by a vendor’s attempts to discredit their competition. The end result is back and forth arguing between people coming from all the platforms. It’s very rare to actually see a solution to the OP’s problem and I can only assume that thread is going to follow the trend.
