Pretty ballsy comment by this dude from TAG Motorsports...

awesome

jet’s are the greatest…that rush when they rip by is incredible. A blackhawk though is also pretty impressive. Same for the presidential Marine helicopter. It is STAGGERINGLY loud. Went over my golf course a couple of years ago when Obama was heading up to Muskoka (Ontario cottage country) . I seriously could not fucking believe how loud they were.

LOL thread delete! That’s hilarious. Hope the OP finds a resolution to his problem.

No infraction on my end. Not yet at least.

I didn’t even open my blinds last night to check it out - I’ve seen helicopters fly close to my building quite a few times, so really nothing new.

Ynnekdude - I think you may be right about the Transformers filming. Interestingly, on my walk home from work last night, I spotted a film crew around 350 N. Canal setting up shop. Wonder if it’s all related.

And those NATO drills were awesome to watch. Seemed like Chicago was preparing itself for battle. We were told not to even go into the office on that Friday.

Creepy/annoying (blackhawk?) helicopter was back for Round 2 tonight. Took a few iPhone pics, so not surprisingly they didn’t turn out that great. Trust me, it appears MUCH closer in-person than in the pics. Pretty cool watching it maneuver around the buildings, but it’s also extremely loud.

And in this last one it appears to be shining the spotlight right on me . . .

Got word from someone that it was actually military urban operations training, same thing as last summer. Just looked it up and indeed it is:

^^ Nice find. Looks like the city did release a statement beforehand. Surprised I didn’t find out about it 'til they were flying right outside my window.

I was trying to wrap my head around blaming the intake ESPECIALLY on these cars. IF it was a 2.0T with a maf sensor maybe but on these cars you could run with nothing if you damn well pleased (aside from the obvious problems of debris) without it tripping a code.

So many hack half-assed companies in the aftermarket arena.

Not to bring up an old thread but holy balls how many Chicago Audi guys that actually tune have I not met? Ynnekdude and Clochner, guess i watch the Midwest AZ thread too much for my information. Good to know there is a few more of us in the area.

Chicago is awesome. It’s like a cross between Toronto and new York. Clean, big, history loaded, interesting, personality. Excellent place. And no stench of urine, the official smell of NYC.

Literally or figuratively? Wife and I were planning to head up there next spring; never been. Maybe we’ll opt for Chicago instead.

Literally- NYC smells like urine and hot garbage dumpster juice.

Love Chicago. Great city.

Good to know, Chicago it is.

Just be aware that the weather in Chicago, even during the first half of spring, can be pretty horrendous. Snow, biting cold and wind, it’s all very possible. If you’re thinking end of May or June, though, you’d stand a better chance of favorable weather. Chicago comes alive in the good weather - it’s a different city in the cold.
