So last year I started to use the Shell URT Advanced fuel and had it shipped to my house… Well I called the guy I dealt with last year and he said that there is some backlog on the product and that I would need to have it shipped to my house again, which is quite costly… I wanted him to stock it… So I decided to see if anyone else local stocked it… Used the fuel locator and came across a number in Perry OH which is right down the road from me… Called and spoke to a gentlemen who confirmed that it was in fact in short supply and that they wouldn’t have any for a few weeks… I kind of expressed my frustration and he asked if I was local which I told him I was and he then asked what I was going to use it for… I told him it was for drag racing, so he was like I have 2 drums at my house for personal use so I’ll sell you a few pails later this week… I thanked him and got his number…
So last night I called him and he said sure stop by and gave me his address… He asked me to drive back to the garage way behind his house… Cool I thought and told him I would be there in 10 minutes… Not thinking much of it as I never took the time to lookup anything about that company I called… So I drive over and holy FUCK… Dude has a 3 car attached garage with a killer house, a 12 individual bay garage, and a probably 20,000 square foot garage in back with 3 lifts, huge work area, tons of tools, a bunch of other stuff and of course some killer cars… As soon as I walked in and seen one of the cars it clicked as I have seen him and many of his toys at Thompson in the past… So I introduced myself and expressed my awe to which he kind of chuckled and said make your self at home… So we got the gas pumped out and started to talk, well about 1.5 hours later I basically had to tell him I’m late for dinner and need to jet… lol He would have probably talked all night as he is a true car enthusiast… Was really cool that he knew my S4 from the track and commented how much he liked it and what a sleeper it is… Keep in mind this guy has multiple 7,8,9 second cars just sitting there… His company is predominately dealing with domestics, but they do tune and do installs on foreign and exotics… He showed me pictures of a SLR McLlaren they just tuned, Bugatti they tuned, Fisker they had at the shop, and numerous other cars… They are currently installing a TT setup on a brand new Audi R8 V10 for one of the son’s of the Royal Family from Dubai as I guess he goes to college over here and it was his Bugatti they worked on… He told me he plans to take it to Thompson for some shakedown passes once complete as he stressed real testing is done at the strip and not on the dyno:) He said he would email/call me when they go so I can go as well…
Anyway, he gave me a smoking deal on the gas and said anytime I need any just call him and I can stop by… He also asked that I bring the RS over once I get it, which I thought was cool… Thought I would share and since I was like a kid in the candy store and didn’t take any pics but I will when I visit next time… Here is the company website if you get some time checkout some of their vids… Just thought I would ahre…
