Supposed to go live today. Wonder what all changed.
what do you mean? An Audi update?
Interesting connundrum with the potential for the dealer to wipe you back to stock per the claim in the ad. Then what…Stasis is gone. So you’re stuck?
Pretty much. If I’m Stasis and not taking APR up on their promo, then I’m requesting the dealer not update my ECU. I’d have it put in writing and printed on the work order that I sign. In the event they flash over your tune I’d make them pony up and reimburse what you paid for it.
Good idea.
p.s. 8500 S4/S5cabs sold in 2010-2011 in the US. That’s pretty impressive. That’s around the total B67 S4s sold from 2003-2008.
Interested to know if your APR/GIAC/whatever flash would just wipe this update. If so, no real point if you are tuned? Unless the tunes are only replacing a proper subset of the EPROM code.
Arin is looking into it. They’ll get a list of the affected box codes and try and get customers with those box codes to get flashed and visit one of their dealers so they can get the file. From there it will go to engineering for analysis. My guess is once they get their hands on all the box codes they’ll base their v2.4 (or 3.0, depending on their numbering scheme) on it. Until then, yeah no point in getting it and I’d request my ECU not be updated.
wonder if that number is right, or just the “affected cars” seems too low that there are only 63 s4/s5 CPO’s out there.
It’s just the affected cars, and the 63 number was probably just what was in inventory on that particular day. Seems about right, if just affected cars. Consider that many can’t be CPOed and many are probably still on lease.
