Pulsing at idle on cold start

Ive never noticed the car do this before. I thought maybe it was the colder weather but it isn’t too bad out today and noticed it again.

When cold and I first start the car it pulses at idle. From about 1k to 1200 rpm. Does it for about a minute or so and then calms down before settling at about 800 rpm. It bounces up and down pretty quick. As I said it goes away after warming up, but this is new and was wondering if there is something happening that I need to check for.

Is it the cold weather or something else going on? Thanks guys

Cold start oil pressure at the cold start with Sai. The b6 does its own version of this but the b7 has a oil pressure reading and the b6 doesn’t so it’s more active on the cold start of the b7. Nothing bad.

lmao thanks saki. I had to run out for pics with my baby girl yesterday and figured if I wrote a thread it would be answered by the time I was finished.

Also the post you provided is perfect. I only asked this because I don’t remember doing it the previous 2 winters I have owned the car. Maybe I notice it now more since it is catless. Anyways post was spot on to what im experiencing. and while I didn’t think anything was wrong, im glad you were able to confirm it. Thanks guys!
