Quick Hello

New to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. Karsty introduced this page to me after talking on a RX7 forum.

I just bought my black '07 RS4 in November. Found it locally in SE Michigan and couldn’t be more happy with my decision. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

It is my DD so future plans only include a JHM exhaust, tune, and piggies. Oh yah…and to fix the o2 sensor that brought my CEL on a couple weeks ago. Seems to be a pretty common issue after researching, so not a huge deal.

Anyhow, happy to find another forum compared to AZ!

Welcome to AR!

Pics of the ride please! We love admiring other member’s rides.

Thanks! I knew a photo request would be coming. The forum wasn’t allowing me to attach a photo, something about a full upload folder.

I uploaded some to my website real quick though. Sits the same way as when I bought it…not sure how the silver door pieces came about. I’ll probably have them resprayed this summer.

I’ll upload more when I’m at home. Enjoy!

Car looks good, and the 3D work looks awesome too!

What software do you use? Maya? 3ds?

Welcome bud! Just to clarify, the RX7 forum we were talking on is norotors.com Everything you want to know about swapping a non-rotory engine into your RX7. The most popular swap being the LSx V8. We love our V8’s over there!

Our friend digital_hoon is actually in the process of dropping an LS7 into his FD! Gonna be a beast! He has a thing for high revving V8’s, just like me. 8)

I saw the error. Please try to resize the photos or change the name tags they may be too long.

Let’s see you render a horsepower

Here’s your car…you can embed images that are already hosted online using the

code. There’s a ‘how this site works’ stickied in general discussion I believe. Or you can quote my post to see what I did…

Is that doorblade a different colour or just a reflection?

Welcome to the revolution!

reflection.

you’re such a doorblade watcher now

Welcome to AR

^ lol I was too busy looking at his cg work to notice the rest of his post ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody!

Thanks man! I’ve been using Maya for around 10 years now. Haven’t ever gotten into Max just because I learned using maya. There’s a little more stuff at my side-business. www.c2renders.com

Is the doorblade breakup common? I had never seen it before.

Thanks again for telling me about the page! I also hate you for it because I’m more motivated than ever to give the RS4 some attention. ;D

As promised…here are some more.

Welcome to AR, and great looking car!

Very nice!

Welcome, please no more snow pictures. Car looks amazing

Nice! Is that plastidip in the last picture?

Welcome, even if you do rip the soul from the Mazda.

I’m on that site often as a few bastard friends of mine have LS swapped 3rd gens. One is Mark (aka gnx7) with an LS7 widebody 3rd gen that I’ve helped do a little work on. He is going down to Shift Sector this weekend with another buddy in his 1000 rwhp turbo LS 3rd gen to teach some boys a lesson in the half-mile. RX-7’s have such a small frontal area that much more powerful cars have a hard time keeping up due to the aero at high speeds and the losers get all butt-hurt about it. I was hoping to go with my SC’d S4 wagon but alas, JHM are still plugging away on it (should be done next weekend for the BBQ).

For the record though, I’m a rotary guy through and through… a complete rotard.
