the Mercedes SLS AMG has little explosive capsules that literally blow the doors off from the bottom in a rollover where you’re trapped. Audi needs to put some of that technology in their wholly owned Lamborghini company’s cars.

Joey Hand was my coach way back when in karting. So sick hes in DTM this year. Looks like a DTM America series is coming our way thanks to the kind folks at Grand-Am :slight_smile:

so BMW is finally joining DTM? That’s good.

I don’t know why they don’t just have a big touring car championships of earth. Instead, there’s an australian series, german DTM, british touring car championships, and the other euro one that Chevy was dominating (the one BMW used to be in ).

We used to have something here too in Canada. One of the drivers is now a big shot in DTM actually. French Canadian guy whose name I forget.

Yep, BMW is joining DTM. One of the Audi drivers already defected (Martin Tomczyk, 2011 DTM Champ). It should be an very interesting season.

I used to love watching British Touring Cars as a kid. Loved the Hoy/Alain Menu/Matt Neal/Tim Harvey era. Loved it way more than F1 in the mid 90’s.

As for the Greek “affair”, that bloke’s neighbour I guess got $2500 to bang some moderately hot chick but also had to pay the price that his missus was also playing away from home? Tricky.

oh … is this some funny ‘I’m an uneducated American slug who knows nothing about the geography of any place beyond the county in which my many gun permits are valid’ humour?

In reality we’ve had only 4 inches of snow up here total this winter. It’s fucking terrible. I love big poundings of snowfalls…I have a killer snowblower and 2 Audis so I really don’t care about the snow. But lately…man feels like I’ve moved to Vancouver or Seattle. Rain all winter.

Actually, that one is pretty fucking funny! I like the carry permit analogy!

It does suck about the snowfall though, we don’t get much, but I love it when we do b/c that’s when the Audi really shines and it’s so much fun just cocking about in it when everyone else is afraid to pull out of their driveway.

And I chuckled at the “I love big poundings part” hehe
