what happened to your super super mustang?
Don’t have any yet. Will before too long. I literally think this week may be the tipping point between the amount of time I’ve had it apart vs together (it’s together right now). I’ve just started all sorts of little projects and continually had it torn apart.
It had the PCM1 which was a terrible navigation even in it’s day, plus I didn’t have the East CD (can’t dl either) so it was ~$200 to buy the one CD (one of 7 cd’s). So I ripped it out and put a iPad mini in it’s place. Then did PHD speakers, and amp. Then decided to wrap all the damaged wood and center console in charcoal alcantra. So between that project, and the maintenance I did when I first got it + exhaust swap, it’s been in my garage torn apart for majority of the time. It’s a great way to keep the miles down though!
On the plus side, with the catless exhaust and stock tune, I was throwing flames on shifts, so that’s fun. I ran my buddies car with some tune on it (he doesn’t know, probably bigbox tune from ~06-07) and we stayed within ~2 car lengths or so from 60-140 and he has the same exhaust (but with cats vs me with no cats). Found that pretty surprising. I want to get my tune and then go spank him (hopefully).
Not too bad, only 4x what they probably should have been lol.
It’s about to be winter in Chicago, it’s going to be winterized and put in the stable will next year.
yeah, but he was all gung ho about the dragstrip in his 5million whp supercar. I predicted a quarter mile time for him and there were some Cokes riding on it…
Come on, Joe’s probably been, but he’s not a newb. He didn’t post up about going for a month, and then tell people “tonight is the night” and then go silent after a bad run. I gotta imagine he’s hit the track at least once by now, but wasn’t thrilled with the time. The car has power, it just takes some trial and error to get everything to match up.
yes…but I want my Cokes! I can’t even remember the terms of the bet. Something about his B6 S4 time…
