Problem is, I’m used to revving to over 12k and the engine is totally happy with that. Doing a 1/4 mile in 10.5 seconds and if I have the space going on to 180mph.
what’s the deal with the Repsol logos? I’ve seen that a few times. Why do motorcyclists rock a spanish energy company’s livery?
It would be like me getting Coca Cola red and white wrap on my RS4. Why is it a think in the motorcycle world (REPSOL specifically?) and not in the car world? Is it a ‘Repsol edition’ you can buy like that? Kinda like buying a Ford GT40 with Gulf oil baby blue?
The ‘Fireblade’ is a CBR1000rr. Had a buddy who had one when they very first came out with the repsol edition, which was late 2008 I believe, so model year 2009. His had the center mount exhaust though if I remember correctly.
ya sak its just a fairing package there is nothing different between a reg 1000rr and a repsol. its just to look like the moto gp bike which I absolutely love.
jim u and I seem to have the same taste in vehicles, god I love that bike. my r6 track bike cant even compare.
I was just going off what Jim said…I’m not super knowledgeable when it comes to road bikes.
I was pretty sure my buddy had it earlier than 09 but I was too lazy to look up the model years.
I looked it up and it was an 04-07 (not sure on the specific year, but if i had to guess I would say 06) It had the rear plate relocated under the fender and a Leo Vince exhaust. Real nice bike. But he has since sold it and moved on to other things.
