Rear Window Spoiler Installment

Soooo, I fonally ordered a carbon fiber rear window spoiler for my S4, this thing showed up and was nothing short of BEAUTIFUL:

I am honestly super piccky about my CF but to my amazement this showed up at my place and the pics don’t even do it justice.

So heres the issue… I follow the manufacturers step by step instructions using silicone gel and a bit of 3m double sided tape to install. I use packing tape to hold down each side of the spoiler and let it set for 48 hours. Guess what happens next? Of course.

Driving home from work at 4am (weird hours I know) a couple days later, I hit close to 140mph (oops!) and crfffffttttt the thing rips off and vanishes into the night sky behind me >:( I was not happy to say the least. To my surprise, the seller is selling me another one at cost bc he feels bad. HOW SHOULD I INSTALL THE NEW ONE?

I have read silicone gel (but already tried it) and have also read urethane adhesive. Anyone have any ideas? I know I could drive slower and create lesser resistance but that would be no fun. This part installs directly onto the rear window (glass) so I want to use a product that will not hurt/discolor my rear window!

Any help is highly appreciated!

Use Betalink K1. It’s the stuff BMW uses to glue down spoilers. Pretty sure it’s a urathane

Thanks Joe, much appreciated.
