Replacement Headlight Options

Hello.

I am very close to purchasing a 2008 Audi S6. It does have the common Adaptive Headlight errors. The dealer I am purchasing the car from was able to fix one of the headlights (broken wire) but the other is not repairable. They are trying to source a used replacement but have not found any yet.

While it would be nice to have the adaptive headlights working, it isn’t too big of a deal if I don’t have them.

So are there any good aftermarket replacement headlight? Also, can the adaptive headlight error be coded out if I go that route?

There’s plenty of reasonably affordable Audi S6 C6 headlights. As far as after market goes, I don’t believe there are any. The only replacement to the Audi S6 headlights would be RS6 headlights - not necessarily the most inexpensive option. However, there are after market tail lights that are upgraded LEDs and look nice.

On eBay you’ll find both new and used if I can recall correctly. You made need to “relocate” yourself under Germany to explore more options. Likewise, carparts.com should have some used headlights at decent prices.

I found a set of relatively cheap headlights from a 2007 S6. Hopefully, they work or if not they will be easy to repair. Thanks.
