Retrofitting rear heated seats

IMO it would just as hard if not harder. You would have to do the same thing i did, but then take your seats apart and add in a heating element. If you add in just the heating element you have nothing giving it power. Overall it wasnt too hard of a job. Just very time consuming. Removing seats is so damn easy once you do it one time. i have literally have my seats out of my car in 25 mins. And thats probably over shooting.

Also, i left the front seats in when we did this. So if i was to remove them it would have probably been easier.

Since he has custom upholstered seats, it would only ad one step to your DIY, which is just taking apart back seats and installing heating element.

Speaking of the heating part, rear seat - how is it heated? Just seat bottom or both bottom and seat back?

Correct on adding one step for the custom seats. As far as the OEM ones, they are heated for your back and butt. Looks like we are going to use a resistor. Ill post up the resistor and location when we do it to help out.
